labor day

mike didn't get home till saturday afternoon from working out of town. it was nice to have him back home for a short while :o) we didn't end up doing much that evening since he was pretty exhausted. sunday we headed over to mike's folks house up in laporte. here's kaylee and her daddy eating apple jacks sunday morning together. {i personally can not stand apple jacks- yuck!}

mike's uncle eddie and family were over too. kaylee and taylor (tot) as we call her running through the sprinklers and enjoying a freeze pop. taylor is mike's cousin and goddaughter. yeah poor girl.

my parentals had changed monday night dinners to sunday but kept labor day on monday. sister in law(s) whined about how late it gets and the kids have homework etc.... we never complained and i would think ham has a lot more homework than a grade schooler. we actually don't mind that it got changed, we have an excuse now to not show up as much. we savor our weekends. we like laying low or visiting with mike's folks or getting our yard done. ham was pretty bored over there so he took grandma's bike around the block. uncle dan said he looks like pee wee herman which was so accurate that it made it even funnier!
and grandpa letting his oldest grandson drive his "baby" around the block. ham was pretty nervous but did just fine. still a pretty sweet ride for an old man's car.
