3. driving all over for graduation stuff and coming home with nothing.

4. getting all misty eyed while reading birthday cards for a son in the hallmark store.

5. a cool graduation party idea that costs $600 for that one thing alone.

easter 2011

1. this was by chance. i have tons more. of his backside.

2. he's been looking for his 1 easter egg while the other 8 kids found their 15 +1 special egg which had a clue to where their special gift was.

3. kaylee asked if ham would get a special easter bunny like her. i told her probably not, he will get cash. then she says " he can have mine if he doesn't get one." she is SO sweet to her brother.

4. i totally failed with no easter decorations or special breakfast and the easter baskets were a little boring this year. [some chocolates, toy + puzzle for kaylee, chocolates and cash for ham]

5. got invitation list around and some ideas on what to do for ham's graduation.

6. also thinking of getting this dress for his commencement. [i still have my on-line birthday discount to use] though i would like to buy it in a smaller size.

7. we've been getting lots of rain which i love. its better than snow and its making our grass very green though it hasn't been good on my going outside to run.

8. our awesome friends- the robinson's asked if we wanted to join them for merry go round rides and pretzels after school today. so glad they did!

9. we weren't going to go but then thought, isn't this what i complain about that i don't do anything spur of the moment? [even got dinner made by 6:30]

10. i read water for elephants and loved it! [it was such an easy read, i got it done in less than half a day] now i'm ready to watch the movie.

1. it was asked what a nerd herd dinner was. this is my nerd herd and we were celebrating a nerds birthday. [the one sitting beside me]

2. i didn't get a photo of us this year and wish i had because it could be our last.

3. i got the name nerd herds from a mtv show called my life as liz. that's what she calls her group of nerdy friends. [we all embrace our name]

4. got to see and love on a new baby yesterday. boy do i miss little babies!

5. i managed to walk 1.8 miles yesterday before having to stop because of shin splints. i did go back out later and ran a mile- without stopping or walking.

6. hey its a start and i found this cool quote "no matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everybody on the couch."

7. mike did the dishes and swept the floors last night. what a difference it made!

8. started to get my list around on operation hamilton graduates. getting pricing for caterers- uggg! its so much cheaper to make food but just that much more of a hassle!

9. while mike was drinking an adult beverage at dinner one night kaylee told him to "jug it".

10. i love getting "free" money. my credit card offers reward points which i'm going to use for some much needed hawaii clothes!

1. me and my bitches went out saturday for kristi day.

2. i was gifted with birthday bitch tiara and beads. [payback]

3. went and saw your highness first. if you don't like funny, cussing, nakedness, dirty, sarcasm etc... then this movie is not for you.

4. then we ate at texas roadhouse where i got my fill from a jamacian cowboy! [its a drink you dirty minded people!]

5. then we went dancing where we got to meet the rock girls. i want to be a rock girl. [ha! wouldn't that be funny to see?]

6. fun was had by all till the next morning when the hangovers started.

7. sunday was tamer. a friend's kid's 4th birthday party at a bowling alley.

8. tonight i get my nerd herd dinner out.

9. i think every mom should get 1 day or night free of mama duties. its so good for the mama's soul.

10. back to reality now- i'm starting to get in panic mood. ham's graduation is coming up!

4. i've been trying to get in 3 miles of walking/running, mostly walking at this time.

5. my shins have been killing me and this morning it had enough. i had to gimp myself back home after 1 lap=.6miles.

6. so after a day shopping in heels, i went to our local running store and got "fitted" for some real running shoes.

7. the sales person checked out how i jogged then chose 3 pairs for me to try on. i ended up with these because they were lightweight, didn't cover or touch my ankles and my toes can breath.

8. i could still feel some straining in my shins but i made it 3 miles once i got back home.

9. i'm hosting a pampered chef brunch on saturday. my mother in law and my neighbor are the only two yeses. [thanks for the idea wendy!]

10. and THANKS to everyone who leaves a comment on here. i'm awful on responding back but i do read every single ONE of them! [hee hee i crack myself up!]

1. i'm not sure what's up with ham but i'm liking it.

2. yesterday he asked for money and i told him i only had 2 bucks on me. he said he needed food money. i told him i was making dinner. he stayed for dinner.

3. and today when kaylee got home she went and gave him a big hug. i gave him one too while i had the chance. he gave us a hug back and he kinda "played" with kaylee because she wouldn't let him go.

4. and he ate dinner with us again tonight.

5. he is leaving for the weekend though. going down to bloomington with his buddies to see a concert.

6. i would like to credit our talk on sunday is what's making the difference but that could be wishful thinking.

7. kaylee is no longer embarrassed by her hart bern song. [i shared it with her teacher and her teacher told her that's how she needs to write more]

8. did i share that kaylee has almost completed the 1st grade reading level?

9. please send some good karma my way. i can't share yet why i need it but i just do. its nothing serious like any health issues but i don't want to jinx anything.

yesterday was kristi day

my delicious 4 layer chocolate cake and flowers from trader joes

1. even though i bought the flowers down in indy on wednesday, i said they were my birthday flowers.

2. the family surprised me with this beautiful cake from b on the river. [a local cafe]

3. and they surprised me with a japanese elm bonsai that i have to grow from seeds and a about mom book. [ham thought the bonsai was cool and kaylee's digging the book about me.]

4. the book asks questions like where i grew up, how big was the house, what was my favorite movie. a keepsake to share with my grandkids someday.

5. and to top off the great kristi day celebrations- it was like 80 degree's!

6. i had mike cook-out for my birthday dinner. it was awesome because we got to talk to ham. he said we're probably the 2nd strictest parents he knows.

7. we had to tell him its because we care and want to see him succeed. [age 18-22/24 are the years he's either going to make it or break it]

8. of course we want him to have fun yet show that he is responsible like coming home on time etc...

9. so last night and tonight, he's been home 10-15 minutes before curfew.

10. i don't feel old till i look at both of my kids. i can't believe i have an 18 year old and a 6 year old.

1. totally could of used this quote today. wanted to dress more "me" but mike told me not too.

2. went to stray dogs today for a late lunch. we met up with my in-laws. think they're becoming our best friends.

3. can't wait to go out with my bitches next saturday. in desperate need for a mom's night out.

4. wishing spring break was 2 weeks long instead of 1.

5. i've got jury selection at 8:15AM monday. HELLO???!!! i have a kid that needs to get on the bus!

6. saw an old friend who got her boobs done about 2 years ago. her body looks hawt! makes me consider getting mine done and some lipo too.

7. been searching for some summer/hawaii clothes but it just depresses me.

8. kaylee + poppop were goofing around and she kicked him. she said see ya later gimp! [i told her to say that and it was funny]

9. super disappointed with canvas people. this is the 2nd or 3rd time they're not able to do a canvas for me which i don't understand. i sent them a hi-res photo of my grandparents.

10. happy that the warmer weather is finally coming around.

it's only friday night!

3. i would be too at her age except back in my day my mom kept getting my sister and i ko-fro's. [korean afro's via here]

4. finally got my camera today. charging it up as we speak.

5. i think i finally got the family room the way i like it. [been moving furniture around for months or for the past 2 years we lived here. give or take]

6. not that the nuggets been bad or anything but i think i'm ready for a little break.

7. that girl talks non-stop! unless we're around people we don't know which isn't often.

8. yesterday we went through our list of friends to go to shipshe with us but came up with no one. by 1:30PM, kaylee had bugged me enough into going ourselves.

9. so from my pretzel dipped in nutella to all my eating today, i feel like a stuffed pig.

10. which means my losing 2lbs a week will have to turn to 4lbs.

hawaii made me do it

finally took the plunge and ordered it last night. patiently(??) waiting of its arrival. [got cheap overnight shipping : )]

1. i am tired. like so tired that if ham or mike were home, i would be going to bed.

2. we had an awesome time shopping. on our way down to ft. wayne we saw some snow.

3. kaylee and mike both got new "swimsoups". [i got hers on sale]

4. we ate dinner at the resturant at the hotel. it wasn't very good. then we went swimming and hot tubbing.

5. i slept awful. there was traffic and weird noises and we left ham home alone overnight for the first time!

6. then kaylee and i left for indianapolis after mike went to work. we got down there before the mall opened so i stocked up at trader joes.

7. i went to anthropologie and got 2 more mini mugs, 4 more mini bowls for my collection and two candles though i wish i had gotten more.

8. i also got some underwears and "liploss" for me and kaylee.

9. after shopping, we ate lunch at pf. changs.

10. kaylee was an excellent shopping companion. the only complaint from her was that her feet hurt. after all that shopping-mine did too!

4. i finished our book club selection at 2:45AM tuesday morning. i loved it so much i went and got and finished her other book tuesday night.

5. going down to ft. wayne today. mike's working down there so we thought we would give him a visit. [we're on spring break with nothing to do]

6. tomorrow kaylee and i will go down to indy for the day. anthropologie sent me a little discount card and i just gotta use it.

7. i didn't do my usual april fool's prank on mike. he was expecting my "i'm pregnant" phone call. [i've gotten him with that for the past 9 years?]

8. ham got me though texting me that he was in school when he really wasn't. school skipper.

9. saturday we met up with mike's bff + family for some pizza and bowling.

10. speaking of pizza, we went to hotbox on sunday and to our surprise- the lovely robinson's walk in!
