free for all friday

granted i have 5 full, ok 4 and 1/2 since i'm wasting today away, days left before we actually start our vacation. but being the kind and loving mother and person that i am, i think i will wait till the last minute so i can yell at my kids and my husband about all the crap i still have left to do and how god awful i still look in a swimsuit. it will be loads of fun. for me.

here's the boat that we will be living on for 7 days and here are the islands that we will be visiting.
i personally cant wait for the first 4 days in honolulu. surf shops here i come!!! and the surfers might want to watch out too. i am a total betty.

on tuesday, much to my dentist bro's dismay, i opted to get my top braces off. he said another month and it should be all good. now if i wasnt going on this trip i would of waited but any discomfort and annoyingness i can relieve myself from i did it plus the tooth i was so concerned about is fixed. instead, i have to wear a really annoying retainer. 24/7 even. if i had known that... just kidding. its nice to be able to eat without having 1/2 of your meal stuck in between your teeth. its less annoying on the bottom teeth for some reason. i will post a before and after photo once i get the bottoms taken off and they will polish my teeth then too. to make them purdy. {the top teeth look amazing by the way}

and to top off my free for all friday, i entered in the 500 buck gift card that the pioneer women is giving away. its for lucky brand clothes!! i usually dont get that excited about a giveaway but i really want this one. she bought the exact same top that i was craving while in indy this past week but i couldnt justify spending that kind of dough on a top. bitch is all that came to mind when i saw that she bought it. {bitch in a fun loving way possible. really}

dear little house

dear little arlene ave. house,

i remember moving in for the first time back in october of 1998. i had viewed a few houses before you and was starting to wonder if i would find something that would fit me and my little boy. i remember seeing you with your cute little bungalow charm and i remember stepping inside for the first time and fell immediately in love with you. in love with your hardwood floors and arched hallways. even though you seemed big with your 2 full size baths and 4 bedrooms, you would be the perfect size for me and my little boy. and you were the perfect size. you said come and live with me and take care of me and i will take care of you. i have lots to offer. and we did. me and my little boy came and took care of you the best that we knew how. many coats of paint, lawn watered and mowed, flowers planted, new fixtures, appliances and lights. we made you look beautiful inside and out. and you took care of us too. you sheltered us and kept us warm during those harsh, cold winter months, you shaded+ kept us cool with your beautiful tall trees in the hot summers. and you gave us memories.

the fond memories. first trick and treating, football games heard from the front porch, fireworks too. holidays and birthday parties, get togethers and cook-outs. cooked meals. a surprise wedding. baby's first home. 2 wild and crazy dogs who are long gone. 2 pesky cats, one who still roams the grounds. babysitters. braces and stitches. friends- old and new. sitting outside with a beer in hand and listening to the quietness at night. boys goofing around, hide and go seek, bb pellets, playing catch in the front yard, skateboarding, roller blades and bikes. toilet paper flying in the trees, police, school officials and cranky neighbors knocking on the door, fights and disagreements, break-ups and deaths of pets. the fall of the retaining wall, plumbing gone bad, critters on the roof. {yep those are memories too}

almost 10 years together and now with a sad heart i must say its time. time for you to have a new family come in and appreciate all that you have to offer. for them to make memories. and its time for us too, to move on and make new memories in a new place. and when that time comes for us to move on, i will remember you and all those fond memories. and i will smile.

{the gorgeous view outside from the front porch}

bentos+ a cut

look what i got today from the ups man!! arent they cute? they're called bentos and they're lunchboxes!

i ordered them from ichiban kan and they were only $1.50 each. they get ya on shipping though. it cost me more to ship than the 3 products combined. now if you've got time and talent this is what your lunches/meals are suppose to look like. i dont have the time or patience really to do something like this.

images taken from flickr and they are by: jen44, jsc* and munkaya. (not sure if they are still in the right order)

but i thought it would be fun for kaylee to put her snacks in when we are on the go or maybe on a picnic ~someday. the cool thing is that they keep things seperate. like hot/cold foods or soup and crackers. pretty neat idea huh? i cant remember where i first saw these bentos lunchboxes from. i was blog hopping but it sounds like they are the new thing to be collecting if your a collector. they come in many sizes and forms.

ok, now the cut. i dont have a picture of it and that might be a good thing. i was cutting open one of the packages that my bento came in and cut my pinky finger. lots and lots of blood came out and i cried. yep, the older i get the less pain i can tolerate. it hurts right now to be typing with it but its a habit to be using it. and the cut is shaped like a v from using scissors. its pretty deep and my concern was needing stitches. but being the semi-tough girl that i am, stitches are overrated.

house hunters

went and looked at 3 houses last night. the first 2 were in the same neighborhood as the dream house. this is the first house we saw. now it doesnt have that "wow" factor that i'm looking for but it was done extremely well inside and it was decent size. i didnt care for the master bedroom or bath, it was built weird and i also didnt like the fact that it only had one other bathroom besides the master bath. but the price could make up for it. its so low that we could build a killer pool and backyard, get mikes new "toys" that he wants and still be able to go on vacation. hard to turn down thats for sure.

this is the second house. it has that "wow" inside and out but its on the top of our budget and it needs alot of renovating done inside. i also didnt like all the bedrooms upstairs. too close for comfort. oh and can you say wallpaper overload??? but that backyard was huge and very private. no pool for a few more years either.

we went back to check this one out again. i think this one might be the next best one. its in the middle of our price range so that means a pool next summer and the basement can be done slowly. its already partially finished. its in a great neighborhood for kaylee and the whole house has been well cared for. these people were immaculate. the only down side is that its on the other side of the tracks. i hate waiting on trains but i grew up over on this side and i can tolerate it if i have too. so these are our decisions unless something new comes in.
and today i am feeling a little stressed out. only have 5 days to get things done around the house. i want to get it ready just in case our realtor needs to show it while we are away. and i only have 5 days to get things ready to pack too. YIKES!!! is whats going through my head right now. saturday the day will be shot for me, mike's running a half marathon and then i go and get a massage and my hair done. both needed very badly. hee hee.

memorial weekend part 2

saturday we headed over to mike's bff's house for a cookout. they live in rolling prairie which is pretty close to laporte. their daughter, lily, is only about 6 months older than kaylee and they get along great. in the morning mike went for a run and i made brownies and rice krispy treats to take along with us. we all had a great time. kaylee and lily got an ice cream treat from the ice cream truck. of course kaylee didn't eat hers, just the bubble gum eyes. we ended up staying till about 10pm.

sunday we drove back to laporte and spent the day with mike's folks and uncle eddie and dawn for another cookout. kaylee played with taylor {tot}. a nickname i came up with when she was little. after eating, ham and i headed over to the outlet mall and found him 3 pairs of shorts and a t-shirt. that's pretty good if you ask me. and look what else i got- a picture of hams handsome face. kaylee was hanging on the hoop and since i was already taking pictures of kaylee, ham didn't notice till it was too late. hee hee hee.

monday was spent cleaning the house and doing all that sort of fun stuff. later in the afternoon, we headed over to university park mall and found ham some more t-shirts and cologne. i got a new sweatshirt and blouse. mike got cologne too and kaylee wanted some gum from the vending machine. and since it was on our way home, we stopped by dixie and gene's house {my parentals} for monday night dinner but no one was home and we didn't want to wait around so we headed home. we all didn't really mind missing it.

memorial weekend part 1

now that its taken me the weekend to "get over" the fact that i am not getting my dream house aka the ketchup estate i can post about our very busy weekend. started off by heading down to indy on thursday for mike's work. kaylee was a super good girl for the whole entire trip. we made a mistake by telling her that she can go swimming later. all day that's all she wanted to do. we got lucky and was able to check into our hotel room {stayed at the omni} early so we dropped off our bags and went to lunch at the old spaghetti factory. while mike was in his meeting, kaylee and i went shopping. i found a skirt and top at h+m. went and got a cold beverage at godiva and kaylee a new cinderella barbie since booah has chewed off a foot from each of her other 2 barbies plus she was being super good except the part when she kept asking if it was time to go swim.

we headed back to the hotel room for a potty break and headed back to nordstrom to do a make-over since we had plenty of time to kill plus i'm really ready for frump girl to go away. only dilemma was deciding who and which make-up company to chose from. i decided to see what kind of sales they had instead. its amazing that justin timberlake's clothing company makes jeans and sells them for over 200 bucks. does he really need that kind of money?? anyway, i found a blouse when mike then calls and says his meeting is out. a 3 hour meeting = a nice get away for us. couldn't get any better than this. after buying some undies from victoria secrets {love their low rise cotton bikinis} we headed back to the hotel room to freshen up and rest my sore feet. i didn't bring any other shoes either. we headed over to the alcatraz brewery for a drink before heading over to pf changs for dinner. mike has never eaten at pf changs and he was kinda worried that he wouldn't like it or it wouldn't be as good as ruth chris's. he ended up loving it! their food has soo much flavor in it and the prices make it even better. we ended up getting 2 appetizers and 3 plates and mike had 2 drinks for 70 bucks including tip. after pigging out at dinner we decided to take kaylee swimming and we would walk the monument tomorrow. while on the elevator mike said the pool was on the lower level but our elevator did not go that far and that he would have to walk through the lobby which he didn't want to do since he didn't have a shirt on. i found this to be pretty funny for some reason and start laughing. mike says heck with it and gets off the elevator and walks into the lobby when a worker stops him, in the middle of the lobby for all to see and is stumbling to say the right thing when she just comes out with " the next time you want to avoid the nakedness in the lobby..." - i BUST out laughing even harder! i had tears rolling and had to hold in my sides. it was the funniest thing ever said and to this day i still tease him about the "nakedness in the lobby."

woke up friday to a rainy day. we ate breakfast at steak-n-shake. why are those places so dirty? the food was good and we walked around a little bit. mike wanted to see the new stadium and wanted to walk around it but obviously they are not done building it yet. {payton manning on the old stadium.}

we then decide to head out since it was cloudy and rainy. getting out of indy wasn't too bad considering they were setting up for the indy 500 and all that goes on with it... parade. almost out of indy and i tell mike we should head over to keystone mall. he made a u turn and we headed in that direction much to my surprise. i love that mall because they have shops that we don't have around us like crate and barrel, pottery barn and renovation hardware besides many others. i ended up getting some make-up from bare essentuals. i really like their stuff. ate lunch at ruby tuesday in kokomo. it was pretty much right after lunch that i got the "call" from our realtor. we both thought that it was good news, someone wanted to buy our house or at least wanted to see it again. nope. i cried all the way home. we were suppose to go over to friends house later in the evening but i didn't feel like seeing anyone. i did feel like seeing the bottom of a mega bottle of grey goose.

i am.

the house that i want. the only house that i want. the only house that made us put our house in the market for. well, they got another offer. and we cant buy it until we sell ours. we need the equity money for the down payment. where am i going to get 40 grand? so i am sad. i am really sad. i am actually beyond sad. i'm devastated and nothing can cheer me up. not even the pioneer woman. my eyes are red and puffy. thats how sad i have been since we got the news.

one cool cat

this is booah. pronounced just like it looks: boo ah. the first 6 photos of him were taken the other evening and obviously he's on the prowl to catch something that only he can see. the other 3 i've posted before but wanted to make a nice mosaic and added them.

a little background about booah:

ham declined an invitation from mike's folks to go to florida with them back in the summer of 2006. {he's probably the only kid who decline such an invitation} mike went instead. mia {short for miami} looked lonely after i found a nice home for henry, our pesky beagle. that's my excuse anyway. she has since passed away. my female parental aka dixie got a cute litte kitten and i decided i wanted one. mike was absent so he got no vote. while i love this little fur ball i wouldn't technically mind if he found another home. he's stinky+ leaves hair all over the place + he's peed on some stuff around the house. now in his defense and if he could talk he would say that he hasn't done that in a long time and why am i bringing up old shit. yeah, he's got an attitude like that. i didn't want him to be an outdoor cat either. who knows what germs he's getting besides fleas and other things but living with mike and kaylee who doesnt seem to listen let him out whenever possible. instead of fighting it, i've given in. plus, i'm tired of booah's pitiful looks and meows. well now that he's outside, i dont mind him as much. he really is a good cat. he comes back when he's hungry or very, very sleepy. he's clumsy too and he's got this walk thats just cute. and when mike gives him a bath, he takes it like a man. he likes to drink from the facuet or toilet whenever possible. not that drinking from the toilet is cool, unless your into that sort of thing but he there's just something about him that makes him one cool cat.

its the final countdown

{who sings it? do you know?}

day 14:

2 weeks from today and we officially start our wonderful, much needed vacation. the whole family's excited though ham acts like he doesn't care one way or another. hmpf , we all know better. going to take ham to the lighthouse mall this weekend for some much needed vacation clothes.

i'm a little disappointed in myself for not getting into the shape that i had planned on being by the time this trip came. it seemed harder this year to get toned up no matter how many sit-ups i'm doing or done. the weather has been a little chillier too so i didn't run as much either. i should of quit being such a wuss and got out there and ran. hindsight sucks! i am getting my "tan on" as kaylee said a last year while on vacation, and next saturday after mike runs the half marathon, i'm getting a massage and my hair finally done. frump girl is disappearing slowly.......

weekend

this was in yesterdays newspaper. (this image was taken from thewashingtonpost.com) kinda nice knowing that i'm not the only one who has felt this way. (many times) i know its my fault. i need to go to bed earlier. this is a known fact. i'm not grumpy when i've gotten a good, solid, uninterrupted 7-8 hours of sleep. school is almost over and i will get to sleep in. even if i don't make it past 8am, its still sleeping in to me. funny how just knowing that i don't have to get up by 6:30am eases my mind.

friday was a pretty boring day and i was going to post about it but didn't want to bore anyone. saturday was a full day. left the house at noon with kaylee in tow to a baby shower for mike's cousin, jessica. while getting ready, i told kaylee that we were going to a girls only party. no boys because they're stinky. the shower was fun with great prizes going out. i won a $10 gc to walmart for being runner up in getting the 2nd most in a word search. kaylee won a candle for her name starting with a k. there were all sorts of party favors for everyone to take home. kaylee started to play with a baby bottle filled with m+m's and she said that her daddy would help her feed her babies because he's not stinky anymore because he took a shower. and yes, the whole room was silent when she said this. we all found it funny and cute. the food was delicious and the cake was to die for. aunt debbie's neighbor made the cake. the first layer was a yellow cake then with a cherry pie filling layer- not overly done, then a chocolate cake layer with a nice layer of frosting on top. i could of used some nuts on the cake to make it that much more perfect. kaylee decided to go home with nana while i went shopping at the outlet mall. i found some tops + swim suit cover from banana republic- tired of looking frumpy and it was all on sale. i also found 2 swimsuits, a sweatshirt and 2 sweaters for kaylee. got home around 8:30pm.

sunday we had an open house so we met up with mike's folks at buffalo wild wings on grape road for some lunch and to discuss what things we wanted to do in hawaii. the open house turned out well. not getting my hopes up but our realtor said that a family seemed interested and they said they would get in touch with their realtor tomorrow (today). we will see. fingers crossed. and yes, st. joseph has been buried.

disgusting big toe

since i made hamilton pancakes+bacon for breakfast and me a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch yesterday i thought my cooking needs were maximized for the day so i decided we would go eat dinner for free at my parents restaurant. {why is it that the day i decide to stay "comfy", as in sweat pants + t-shirt, we have someone knock on the door?} after changing my clothes but still feeling like frump girl, i pick up these shoes and give one a light toss- onto my big toe! which looks like this.this was done almost a month ago. i dropped kaylee's little miami dolphins recliner on it. you betcha million dollars baby that i had tears streaming down. that word that rhymes with sucker hurt and having that wood clog hit it again, well let me just tell you it still throbs as i type this.
disgusting huh? and yes i know i need a pedicure.

onto some pretty things. i love these swim "soup" tops as kaylee would call them. they are from modbe.

i love the designs on them and the fact that they actually come down far enough to cover up my trouble area that's right above the bikini line. still have that "muffin top". it hasn't gone away and we have like 17 days before our vacation. mike doesn't like them. i don't like my muffin top so i think i'm going to order one and see how it looks. just don't tell mike yet. wait till i get them and try them on first. hee hee.

today is the day i need to "open house" clean the upstairs again. i don't want too. i want a nap. i want to hire a cleaning lady. one who will do windows too. the upstairs consist of ham's + kaylee's room and the bathroom and a hallway. i do love my dyson sweeper. i use it as a dusting tool too. too bad it cant scrub the tub for me too. then tomorrow its on like donkey kong downstairs and then saturday its clean out the windows and touch up paint them. i know, i still lead that exciting life.

fantastic {scents}

i picked up one of these last thursday when i went to that home/garden+ fashion show in middlebury. its called sweet leafbaby and its by thymes. a little sweet yet a hint of baby powder. kaylee's room smells fantastic. its a little on the pricey side {even with a 20% off coupon} and i hate to admit it but i actually bought it because i like the bottle. i love the shape of it and on the bottom are little pictures of snails, birds, butterflies and such. maybe, just maybe, i will get off my lazy butt and take a photo of it. maybe. i picked up this perfume last summer and loved it. its light and a little sweet. its from the same company and its called kimono rose. it too is fantastic. {fantastic is my new vocab. word for the day}
and while i'm still on the topic of things that smells fantastic, let me continue on and share this. this is called scentsy. its an electric warmer that melts those wax bars. one of the girls at the jewerly party is a consultant and she has some free bars she gave away when the party was over. i picked up the perfectly pomegranate and it makes my house smell like sweet berries. how fantastic is that? i would love to host a party but we leave for hawaii soon and would hate for everyone to wait for their products. plus i really want to wait and host one at the new house. new house? what new house? oh yeah, the one we are waiting to move into but cant because our house isn't selling new house. i vaguely remember what it looks like inside its been so long....just kidding.

i'm feeling crafty

i got these in the mail yesterday. i ordered them from here. i first saw these on tara whitney's blog and thought they were super cute. kinda nervous about painting my family but kinda excited too. ham should be the easiest- black t-shirt, jeans + hair covering most of his face. he would find that be really funny. not.

i hope they turn out as cute as these:

this picture was taken with permission of course from the thompson family blog. she has a side thingy that you can click on and has a few more pictures of them. really cute. of course this could be another one of those projects that just doesn't get done.

i found a few more swaps to participate in from swap-dex. you can look that up, i'm too lazy to get the link for it. the latest one was a sticker swap. something easy + not expensive. been debating on joining one that makes aprons. i love this apron from grand revival. nice and girly. only problem, never made an apron before. i've made curtains, pillow cases and when ham was little, a few outfits. guess the way to do it would be to go and buy a pattern. ah- patterns are overrated!

i 'm going to go and find a statue of st. joseph. not that i'm catholic but the rumor is that he will sell your house. and i whole heartily believe in this rumor. and if someone told me shaving someone's hair off would do the trick i would so volunteer mike and shave his head for him. yep, i'm generous like that.

happy mothers day

i hope all you mothers had a great mothers day. i had a good one. we ended up spending the day recouping from the night before over at mike's parents house. on the car ride home, kaylee wished me a happy mothers day. it was really sweet even if she did hear it first from a commercial. rest of the evening she kept wishing me a happy mothers day and gave me 2 of her stuffed animals for presents. really sweet. once ham got home he also wished me a " happy mothers day gimp". such a sweet boy.

thursday evening was spent going out with my female parental, sister and two sister in laws to a home+ garden, fashion show in middlebury. {amish country} it was a really fun time. we got to eat and win door prizes and got some home decorating + fashion tips. afterwards, went and did a little bit of shopping. i ended up buying a tank top that was featured on their runway. the other items i liked were way too pricey for me.

friday, i went to the jewelry party. had a good time. its nice being able to go and socialize and not be "mommy" for a few hours. got to see melissa and her two adorable kids. bought a way overpriced necklace.

saturday mike ran a 5k. got his personal best time of 19 mins and 52 secs. he came in 3rd place in his age group and 13th over all. i think there were 600+ runners. after that we headed home to get ready to go to mike's parents house. later we ended up meeting erron + shantell and uncle eddie + dawn for appetizers and drinks at hacienda, went to the comedy show-funny funny guy and then went to linebackers. a small local bar in the area. we had a great time being able to request pretty much any music we wanted to hear since it was still early. once the place got crowded with all the young'ns we were ready to head out. mike ended up puking on the way home. he did end up drinking 6 beers at the comedy club. i wasn't in the mood to drink yet and they have a minimum of 2 drinks per person. we got a bucket of beer to cover that. he also had 2 shots of royal butt and 2 jager bombs besides the beer at his parents house + hacienda. yeah, he was pretty toasted by the time we left the bar.

its a fine monday morning and i'm already feeling the stress of what all needs to be done this week. we have yet another open house planned for sunday. groceries need to be bought, laundry needs to be done, things falling apart in the house needs to be repaired. all the windows need to be bleached and repainted. saturday my day is shot. going back up to laporte for mike's cousins baby shower. laportes about an hour away from us and it doesn't help that they are an hour behind us too. do plan on hitting the outlets after the baby shower. got to make use of the drive up there. sunday morning mike's running another 5k before the open house. i guess i still have time, just doesn't feel like it in my mind.

randomness thursday

i know that i complain a lot about everything and anything on this blog and that's what its for. for fun + to clear my mind. i realize my little complaints are nothing compared to others. i am blessed. now this is not a "feel sorry for me" blog so go and visit fatcyclist. i love his writing style and he's funny too. love wicked sense of humor + sarcasm in people. he tends to blog about his mountain biking expeditions but currently he's been posting about his wife's battle with cancer. its sweet+ sad. sad that its happening to good people. oh, he posted a recipe on there for "the worlds best cake ever" {oatmeal chocolate chip cake} and i made it last night. its pretty darn good. because it's pretty darn good + i'm that lazy, kaylee + i are eating it right now for breakfast. hey, its got oatmeal in it so its healthy, right??

some other news: i'm glad to report that we might have kicked one of our "battles" in the ass! mike came home yesterday and started working on the "frame" to block in the space in between our house + chimney. while watching "in the land of women" last night, i didn't hear any funny bizness going on our rooftop or ceiling. meaning, the pesky little critter needs to find somewhere else to live. hahahaha {evil laugh}

i've decided that i'm going to start using the laptop and need to move all my pictures, photoshop elements and download pcs 3 onto it. i want to "embellish" some pictures that i have and i would also love to learn how to do some graphics with it. hopefully in the near future i will have note cards, stationary, posters etc.... all handmade by me. so the next few days i might not be getting anything done around the house, not that it matters since NO ONE IS COMING OVER TO SEE IT!!

here are a few pics i had some fun with. love the out come of all 3. the first one is straight out of camera shot or sooc, as they say in the professional world. love how soft it is. the second one is hard light at around 50% it gave it a little boost of color and definition and the last one is hard light at 100% which gave it a an overload of

of color +definition.

would love to go to this tomorrow night instead i have a jewelry party to attend too and it is a little far.

ok going to go and clean up the house a little then hopefully finish up my project that i started a few weeks ago. would like to get them done for mother's day.

weekend recap

i ran my first official race on saturday. the mayfest in shipshewana. i definitely started out too fast and had to slow down after the first 1/2 block and numerous of times i had to ask myself why was i doing this to myself. i found it to be harder to run on the grassy trails and got passed by a few runners. i'm happy to report that i did end up passing a few of those few runners once we went back to the concrete road. i did not stop or walk at all though there were times when i wished to be ran over by a horse + buggy but i'm glad that didn't happen and that i did finish the race. i just found out that my time was 36.11. that's 9 minute miles. i also came in 6th place in my age group out of 17 and i also came in 67th place over all. there were 107 runners this year. last year, if i would of ran it and gotten the same time, i would of placed 2nd in my age group!! it was sort of fun and very painful and i plan on doing it again next year. keep on runnin'

saturday evening we got mikes folks to take us out to dinner. went to hacienda and had a good time. of course they came to see their grand daughter but the grand daughter decided to sleep the whole time till we got into the car to go home. figures. and yes, she is that way.

sunday i went to donda's baby shower. she is married to my cousin jim on my female parental side. they have a beautiful house, one i wouldn't mind moving into but its in the wrong school district. their baby girl will be one well dressed baby + she will not have to wear the same thing twice even if she spits up!! i'm very happy for my cousin jim. {he picked out her name: allison kathryn ralston} beign at the baby shower kinda made me want to throw a party. love entertaining and coming up with all the little stuff but don't know what kind of party to throw. guess i'm waiting to move into the new house so we can throw a pool/housewarming party....*sigh* hopefully soon!

after coming home from the baby shower i guess mike didn't want to do anything more around the house. kaylee helped him edge, sweep + do some other stuff around the house. we headed down to syracuse even with the gas prices the way they are today, ($3.72 a gallon) to eat at the frog. i've never been there but mike has for lunch. it was a cute little place along the channel of lake wawasee. after dinner, we headed to the "public" beach access + park. kaylee had a great time going playing on the playground.
she was afraid to go down this "big+ dark" slide so she spread her legs open to help her go down slowly. it was a pretty funny sight to see.

the 3 of us cheesing the camera. yes i am that short {5'2"} kaylee cried as we headed home around 8ish. she didn't want to leave. i love being around the water and didn't blame her. the cost of houses to live on the water is outrageous- who would of ever known that you must have at least a million dollars!

love these two!

hate to admit it but this is the last photo of ham i've taken and this was back in march for easter. its all blurry because i had to sneak up on him. he usually gives me head full of hair shots so i'm going to be happy with this very blurry photo.

hamism:

gimp- very uncool person {said mostly to mike}
my interpretation i.e: "mom, your a gimp." actually means "mom, i love you."
isn't he a handsome kid? i love him.

and kaylee, well this is her signature mark- sticking out her tongue! i cut her hair last weekend and think it turned out pretty awesome. when freshly bathed her hair curls more. i'm lucky that she's got some curls because we all know i can not cut straight. i love that it looks like a 20's flapper do- my favorite time in history.

kayleeisms:

balentines- valentines
stomach cake- stomach ache
crosting- frosting
crisbee- frisbee

isn't she the cutest thing? i love her.

i love how much they look alike yet their personalities are completely different. ham's laid back + doesn't need a lot or talk a lot. he was this way when he was kaylee's age too. he's pretty funny + sarcastic+ smart. he's got a thing for farting on or around us.

kaylee's talkative+very needy+ smart. she's got a great imagination + is very funny too. she has a fascination with saying boogers. and for some reason a thing for farting on or around us. hmmmm...love these two!!
