the after

1. feeling accomplished that i'm posting the after right after the before [see last post]

2. cleaned little nuggets room yesterday. it didn't take as long as usual and she didn't complain when i threw away unimportant stuff.

3. when i clean her room i like to rearrange it even though there's only 2 ways it be can done. [her dresser, which is very heavy, even got cleaned out. right now it holds toys, art supplies and video/cd's]

4. anything pink in the room is still going to changed to green. STILL looking for green curtains. the ones from pottery barn kids is winning.

5. i made the little nugget cry this morning. she was looking for her little $1.95 rat from ikea. [she sleeps with it and hides it in her backpack for school] i threw a fit because she was pouting and i only had 4.5 hours of sleep.

6. this is the second time he's pulled being out way later than his curfew. [not to defend him but he does text me that he's running late]

7. last night they went to a scary movie then decided to find a haunted road. on the way home they hit a deer. *grrr* he will have to be nice to me again for awhile.

8. and i apologized to little nugget telling her that i'm still learning.

9. went out to eat using a $25.00 gift certificate that i bought for $2.00 from here. [the promo is still going on. type in your zip code, find a favorite restaurant or one you want to try and enter treat to get 80% off]

10. before going out for dinner decided at last minute to get kaylee + i haircuts. i threw on crappy clothes, went with no make-up and after the appointment- found i had red food stuck to my tooth. kaylee knew but never told me!

my wide angle lens is not working so i had to take multiple shots. but anyway, this is what i have to do when i say i am cleaning.

1. started re-arranging furniture in the family room + dining room. want to get my desk out of the dining room.

2. stopped midway to take kaylee to dance class then eat dinner.

3. made japanese beef stew. was informed by my oldest that kids do not like beef stew.

4. kaylee wouldn't eat any of the potatoes or carrots. just the meat. so at 8pm i buckled and let her eat a peanut butter sandwich.

5. and while my house was a complete mess, kitchen wasn't even cleaned up yet, my parents stopped by, of course!

6. at least they didn't see kaylee's room or my bedroom...all works in progress.

7. going to help with kaylee's class this afternoon. they're having a fall party. [no more celebrating halloween in schools anymore]

8. and then thursday and friday we all get to sleep in except for mike. the kids are on fall break.

9. can't believe i had to order ham's graduation cap + gown last night. [it was due today]

10. the invitations to commencement and open house i thought i would go untraditional and find someone to print me up some on etsy. *i know nothing about this graduation stuff and what i'm suppose to do* yikes!!! eek!

burning down the house

1. good thing this is a 3 wick candle cuz' i left it burning all night! OPPS!

2. not too much going on over here besides the usual. the house needs cleaning, kids need fed, the yard needs raked.

3. poor mike. he was in canada all last week and caught a horrible cold. he's gone again for a few days this week to ohio.

4. not sure what the reasoning is but not all that excited about halloween this year.

5. and i need serious help in getting kaylee to eat better. we all could eat healthier that's for sure.

6. so this morning i had her chug half a glass of orange juice with calcium and forced her to eat a gummy vitamin.

7. over the weekend, worked on mike's side of the closet- AGAIN! this time i moved the dresser into the closet to help keep organized. now my side needs to be organized.

8. with the dresser moved we have a empty wall so i moved the big white couch from the family room to there. [thats kaylee's new bed : )]

9. went to kaylee's parent/teacher conference last night. she knows all of her colors, shapes and letters except little q. and her reading level is close to a first graders.

10. the only area that the teacher said she would like to work with kaylee on is getting her to be more outgoing. i totally agree with this!

2. disappointed that i missed out on this. and jealous of hers. [i want a cool painting!]

4. i liked the first one better than the second one but still liked the second one. thinking the third will be funny.

5. can't wait for my november indy weekend. decided to be a tightwad and going friday- sunday. meeting up with some old college friends.

6. called apple to find out what's up with my phone. going to get a replacement and fingers crossed its their error not mine.

7. brain fart moment. mike is near a blogging friend and did i have him take a happy mail package to be mailed while there? NOPE! didn't think of it till yesterday.

8. still feeling good! no sniffles, no clogged nose, i can still smell and taste! now the million dollar question is "why didn't someone give me this shot before instead of making me take millions and trillions of pills and nose sprays????"

9. while dusting ham's room it made me miss being able to rearrange furniture around here. carpeting and the layout, rooms can only go one way. made me think of because i said so. one of MY favorite movies...just MY opinion you know who!

10. as i sit here typing this and eating my frozen pizza for lunch feeling a little lonely.

1.kaylee went to school hassle free and i got to catch up on grocery shopping.

2. the house is a total wreck! but i've also got ideas going through my head so now its even in a messier state.

3. sunday while mike left me a football widow, i did clean and sweep and organize my laundry room. feels so much better now!

4. i called a painter to get a quote. they are booked till after christmas. got another name and number but i've been nervous about what colors to go with.

5. i think i'm more drawn to the soft neutrals. grayish purple for the bedroom, white with deep red accents for hamilton's room. though i am in love with her house.

6. wish my house was DONE. decorating, organizing. all of it- DONE!

7. i could of used a nap today but i kept trucking on.

8. started to book my hotel room for my indy trip but saw that it was $30 cheaper to stay friday/saturday rather than thursday/friday and of course i want to stay thursday/friday. am i being a tight wad? hey! that 30 bucks could pay the painter. well some of it.

9. watched the proposal tonight. totally LOVED the movie!

10. love how the littlest things makes kaylee SO happy. [painted her nails tonight and added some nail art stickers on them]

what she wore

kaylee in her school outfits this week. the other days she wore something already seen and friday she stayed home

1. because i think she has pink eye.

2. they are not pink insides of her eyes, just around the outsides but they are puffy and have lots of gook coming from them.

3. friday as i was wiping her eyes she kept telling me that it was not her best day. or not a fun day.

4. so we have been stuck home for the past two days. we both might be going mad by tomorrow. we did play beauty salon today. oh! and she's getting much better at writing and reading!

5. ham left an hour ago for the haunted house in a nearby city. hope its short and he makes it home by midnight.

6. i think it was thursday after school ham came out of his room and stood by the couch i was sitting on. i looked at him and he said " i want to grow a beard."

7. man i haven't laughed that hard in such a long time! he can only grow random whiskers.

8. my indy trip is back on until i talk myself out of it again. [i'm chicken to stay in a hotel by myself and don't want to spend too much $$]

9. i have intentions of getting things started and finished in the next two weeks- cleaning out closets, my craft room and painting my bedroom.

10. i was going to hire someone to paint but decided that i just need to get off my lazy butt and do it myself. save the money for something else, like for a trip to indy.

taken sept 30, 2010 in the afternoon

1. i'm trying to get motivated and clean the house- i know, its a daily fight. [i need to scrub the tubs!]

2. at dinner last night one of the ladies said she doesn't clean her toilets on a regular basis. like it can go for a few weeks, maybe even a month. i said ewww!

3. so how often does one clean their house? toilets get scrubbed twice a week, sometimes 3. sweeping the floors around here is a different story. hope this doesn't gross anyone out that visits!

4. while i was at mom's dinner out last night, mike + kaylee went bowling. i don't know why he couldn't just stay home.

5. my oldest niece invited me to join her at her school on friday. i want to be the cool aunt so i need to find out if i can bring some adam's cake cupcakes for her class or something.

6. mike said to quit worrying about his job. nothings going to happen so i'm going to stop. sort of.

7. this week seems to be going by really slowly. its only wednesday?

8. can't wait to see what she did for her son's birthday party. she will be posting it here soon.

9. can't wait to finally get my emersonmade belt. it ships out on the 15th. hope it fits too! did i tell you i got for half off? yep. love the internet for that reason.

10. and i ordered these for kaylee's birthday party. i signed up for her newsletter and she gave a special sale to those who were on her emailing list.

i can smell! [and taste food]

cool leaning tree by our pond

1. went walking by the tree today. it probably wont be there much longer. looks like beavers are attacking it. poor tree.

2. the very cool chantale asked what kind of camera i used awhile ago. its a nikon d40x. i've used lots of canon point and shoots but started reading many reviews.

3. went to best buy to feel them up so to speak. with a canon in one and nikon in the other, i liked how the nikon felt and it looked very simple to use.

4. not too busy of a day. waited on our lawn guys to close down the sprinklers, grocery shopped then came home and ate a late lunch.

5. while heating up lunch i ate a pickle and guess what?! it tasted like a pickle!! meaning i tasted 100% pickle. i usually taste food by fainted memory.

6. and i could smell the house when i first stepped in. what a relief that it actually smelled good. [i think that shot in the hiney did it!]

7. been loving this weather we've had these past few days. makes me feel blessed that i'm alive.

8. flipped back and forth between dancing with the stars and hoarders. i feel like a self controlled hoarder. [controlled to 1 room and a cabinet in the kitchen]

9. so tomorrow i plan on cleaning and re-organizing everything, again.

10. made this offer to ham: sell his bmw so we can get a new jeep then he can have full rights to the rover and do whatever he wishes with it. [he wants to sell it for a different vehicle.] not sure if mike will really agree to this.

my fashionista

1. decided it would be fun to do one of those "what she wore" posts since she dresses better than me.

2. it might seem that i spend a lot of money on her clothes but i don't. i shop off season buying for the next year. most of her outfits don't cost more than $10 bucks [for the whole outfit!] which allows me to splurge like on her grey/white striped and black/white striped tops. they're from gap kids and were $12.00 bucks each.

3. two of her shoes were more expensive but the others that she wears were 3 bucks from target.

4. we were invited for a late lunch by the in-laws today. we waited for ham to get home from taking his SAT's for the second time.

5. asked him how it went and got the usual answer- i don't know. then i asked if it was a little easier and he said yes but with attitude.

6. so we left him with no money for food. gave him 20 bucks yesterday sure he had enough for some taco bell.

7. and he asked if he could stay out later like his friends. they have till 1. i said to be home by 12:30, take it or be home by 12.

8. if he would be nicer to us then i probably would have let him stay out till 1. but he hasn't been.

9. went to the outlet malls while kaylee and nana played and mike watched football.

10. proud of myself for staying under the budget i has set for myself.

human pincushion + a little down

1. to start out my day i went to my doctors appointment to figure out why i'm getting some aches and pains. before getting pricked and probed, i got a written warning for speeding. [he caught me going 52 in a 45]

2. after the appointment i did go and buy some mums + pumpkins from some amish.

3. came home and got dinner started in the crockpot.

4. then spent the next 3+hours at the allergist. i got pricked again. this time on my back, arm and behind. so i find myself really funny by calling me the human pincushion.

5. then i got some news about mike's job. its too early to say anything but everything that i had planned is on hold for awhile.

6. it makes me nervous because he just started this job, again.[because they want to make right with what happened with the big oil spill]

7. after my 3+ hours at the allergist i made it home with 15 minutes to get ready for kaylee's last soccer game.

8. why do coaches + parents have to ruin the fun? [kaylee never scored a goal but she liked it so thats all that matters]

9. my kids were super sweet and came up to me and hugged me and thanked me. [i didn't see them do that with the other coach- HA!]

10. kaylee got her school pictures taken and i got some before the bus came. will post those next. in one of her proofs from school she looks exactly like ham but with longer hair.

1. parents got to watch what's been going on at dance class. happy to say little nugget was the only one following her instructors instructions.

3. but i've been seriously enjoying my FREEDOM!

4. friday i helped with the little nuggets jog-a-thon at her school and stayed for lunch. i thought of volunteering maybe for lunch duty or substitute teaching then thought. nope. going to enjoy my time right now.

5. had a great weekend. friends came over friday for pizza + ham/cheese pudgy pies over the fire pit. went shopping for mike and relaxed rest of the time.

6. thinking about taking a day trip down to indy on friday. want to grab a few things from crate + barrel + pottery barn kids.

7. was going to stay over night but decided the money used for hotel room could be used for spontaneous shopping.

8. this week i saw my eye doctor, will see my family doctor and an allergist.

9. i took video's of the little nugget at her dance class. we started laughing when we watched them because you can hear me sniffle throughout the whole thing.

10. we got a quote on hardwood floors. the family room, dining room and hallway will be the first to get done. we must of picked out some dang expensive hardwood because it quoted to be $5000-$7000! we are definitely getting more quotes!
