mobile swap

mobile swap is completed. almost. i still have to send mine out but no one reads my blog so i'm ok posting it on here. this mobile was made by the amazing, talented and creative alyson as in unruly-things.
it is hanging in kaylee's room since she is the intended recipient and it looks fantastic in there. the colors are perfect against the green walls. love it!

and these 3 photos are the one that i made for this person: filledetulipe. i love the way it turned and am very proud of myself. i did change my mind about 100x's and just ended up going with this idea, my first idea.
this was sooo much fun that i need to avoid any more house work and spend quality time on the computer looking for more blogs that are doing swaps!

bathroom break

i am taking a break from painting the main level bathroom. i'm starting to get a little light headed from the fumes. wasn't planning on redoing the bathroom but after waking up at 5:30am and having a school delay- then canceled + a semi-sick husband, decided to stay up and read all of my blogs- i have like over 70 that i love to read. yes, i am a blogaholic and yes i need to update my list. anyway after cleaning the bathroom and scrubbing the tile floor with a toothbrush, not bad of a chore really and seeing how awesome the upstairs bathroom turned out, i couldn't let the downstairs bathroom be out done so here i am.

ok, my bathroom break is over. i will post some pics and maybe some more stuff that's floating in my head or maybe not. i feel kinda tired now.

oh- our new realtor had to call off last night, she was sick :o( hopefully she will feel better sometime before saturday. really want to get this house on the market. pray, bargain, plead with the higher up that we sell fast and we get the ketchup estate!!

grateful

after my last post i kinda feel like i need to stop complaining and whining on here though it does help in clearing my mind. coming home last night from friends house i actually realized just how lucky and spoiled i am. its funny how those "aha" moments work. we have been cleaning and decluttering the house since friday. {new realtor comes monday, yes we are still going to pursue the ketchup estate} the garage is full of stuff that has to go so we we're not able to park the car in there last night. as i was walking up to the front door the moment went off. we live in a safe area, my family is healthy- no colds or flu {knock on wood}, i have my dream car, we have money in the bank, enough to get us by and my cute little house is still standing. so i am grateful. truly grateful.

life is full of disappointments

that's the quote the male parental [mine] has taught hamilton ever since he was little. nice quote huh? and ham knew we weren't going to get the house. i guess he knows more than me. i really could of used a friend last night. did not want to speak to the husband. he totally disappointed me. he had called me back when i told him terrie the realtor was calling with the numbers of what we should put our house on the market for. once i told him i knew it would be over. even though he says it isn't- he was saying that because i was bawling my eyes out. even now they get a little misty. he came home all tight lipped and didn't talk at all at dinner besides this was good.{made chicken and dumplings}

he came into the computer room and i had everything written out. our expenses, the house budgets etc...and i took worse case scenario too and he was like i just want to see if we can afford it. if we can do worse case scenario then whats the problem. he thinks we cant do worse case, i think we can. he supposedly should be getting a promotion soon + our car will be payed off by next november+ he gets a raise in october and i said that i would go back to work. yes, this first year might be a little struggle but that's what the pools for. so we stay home and grill out and enjoy the pool.

this is why i didn't want to say anything to the parentals [mine]. i secretly think that the female parental doesn't want me to get it. she thinks i'm spoiled as is.

randomness

i hate all you talented people out there! not really but it makes me wish i could find my talent.

still waiting to hear back from terrie the realtor to see how much our house can be on the market for.

i love the fact that kaylee is old enough to really play with her toys. its so cute to hear her talk to her animals or dolls and make them do things. dance, eat, sleep etc...

norwegian cruise lines has a black mark on them now. they sold our ship that's suppose to take us around hawaii. ok, we are getting a better room and some $$ to use on the cruise but what a hassle its been making all these phone calls and rescheduling hotels etc...

still want my house. i'm being positive and feel that we will get it. cant wait to redecorate it!

great weekend

had a great weekend. friday nana came over and watched kaylee for us. we went and met up with our realtor to look at the house again. it was nice to be able to see it again during the day. we still love the house!

mike and i went out to lunch at TGIFridays and had some yummy food. went and saw a movie too at the theatre even! saw jumper. pretty decent movie. after that went to buffalo wild wings in south bend for a drink. got sick from my drink. my stomach hurt, my insides felt a little swollen etc.... no more coconut rum for me! then mike went and got his haircut at jennifer's new place. i've been wanting to find a hair salon in our town but its kinda hard to leave jennifer. she does a great job and i do have some loyalty, maybe not so great with pets.

saturday, i don't think we did much but that's ok. kinda nice to sit back and chill. i went to kohls and michaels and target to kill some time.

sunday we went to wana waves in shipshewana for cory's 30th birthday. had fun. kaylee loved the water and the kiddie slides. i took pictures and babysat the sleepy kids. went to buffalo wild wings for an early dinner. and that was about it. still need to download some pics. hopefully i will get to that soon!

happy valentines day

had a really nice, low key valentines day. started the morning out by going to the grocery store and picked just a few things that we needed then headed over to the farmers market to buy some carmel corn for kaylee. kinda bribing her because nana {mike's mom} is coming over all day tomorrow. anyway, found some jewelry that i just had to buy. just don't tell mike! and ham a carmel apple for valentines day.

on the way home mike calls and asks if us ladies would like to meet him at applebee's for lunch. mention food and i am so there! came home and made some valentine cookies, kaylee helped me with the sprinkles and cleaned up some. of course, went through all my blogs for any new posts.

mike came home and be got kaylee a stuffed puppy that's white and red. he got me a sweet card and some chocolates. we weren't suppose to buy each other anything since we're going to hawaii and looking into buying a new house. but i got him some melt away chocolates from fannie may. got them at the farmers market. got ham his carmel apple and told him he's the apple of my eye, some twizzlers and some gummy rats. told him dont be a rat and be my valentine. yeah, i'm clever like that!

we ended the night with a romantic dinner at buffalo wild wings. i couldn't believe how many people were there! there was even a line!! guess not everyone has to have a romantic dinner alone without kids anymore.

FREAKIN' awesome

went and saw the house last night and i am still in love. mike loves it too! its got everything that we both want in it besides some dated features but with time and money will come the changes. its got my master bed/bath that i'm wanting, the floor concept is pretty open. got a laundry/mudroom from the garage, got mikes finished basement with theatre and weight room. ham would have a bedroom that's 3x's bigger than what he's got now, its got a pool and another entrance into the basement from the garage with a full size bath right next to the door and its still in the same school district for ham and its in the right neighborhood. its FREAKIN' perfect! so hopefully in the next month or two i will be blogging that we are moving! just hope we can sell this house, kinda nervous because of the slow market.

stars are aligned

this morning started out pretty good considering that i got no sleep. just this thing with ham has me all worked up and stressed. he doesn't want to do anything with us or his friends and it worries me. alot of my feelings are coming from reading a blog. she has a great relationship with her teenage son and he does stuff with the family. even if its just once in awhile. guess i'm a little jealous of her.

kaylee was a good girl with hardly any whining today. we even hit the grocery store and she was semi good. came home and i got my blog winnings from the all famous tina cockburn- love her! her style! her talent!! she even sent me a photo that she had taken in trinidad. got to find a honorary wall for that. and i got my simple scrapbooks magazine today which had her daughter on the cover. what are the odds that i would receive them both on the same day?? on our way home from the grocery store, i drove by a house that was in the newspaper. wasn't impressed. but i did see a sign that said for sale by owner and thought what the heck, i'm in the neighborhood, might as well check it out. and i'm in love!! the outside of it anyway. had to go home and check it out online. this is the house that i want!!

we are going to see it tomorrow night and i cant wait. and then terry is selling her natural images business and this would be a great way for me to start mine. not only would i have clients but i would also get some training with it! i mean it doesn't get any better than that?!!

the downside to all this- i cant get both. secretly, i'm hoping for the house. the business, i can do what i had originally planned- start small and slow and work my way up.

valentine swap

i did my first swap hosted by sara at our life: post script. {still dont know how to do that where you can click on the name and it takes you to their blog} i recived my valentine goodies from lesli at word on the streets. look at the goodies she sent me!!

i put that great picture in kaylee's room and it looks fantastic in there! kaylee loves it too. in the middle of the white heart is says "love" and that is what she is : my sweet little love.

we made those tiara's this morning too. she loves anything to do with princesses. it was fun. i burnt my thumb on the hot glue gun but it was still fun.

found another photography blog that i am in LOVE with! i love them so much that i went back and read and looked at all of their blog from sept. 2006 to now. they are funny, stylish and just what i want to be when i grow up. i want to marry them. i want them to adopt me never mind the fact that i am +years their senior.

my husband said i can go to one of their shootshops. i just need to save the money for it. that means no more quick runs to target, michaels or hobby lobby for me. this will be tough but oh so worth it!!

nothing new tuesday

i wish there was some exciting news to report but there isn't. we had a 2 hour delay because of some serious fog going on but now its 8am and its all nice and clear again. i would like to go shopping for some hawaii clothes for everyone but we have to watch the budget and i would like to wait for more summer clothes to come out.

kaylee woke up around 6:30ish but i just put her down in our bed and she went right back to sleep. she really needs a good nights rest and she needs to eat. we went over to the parentals [mine] again for the every monday night dinner and she usually doesnt eat. this was a first last night. she had a peanut butter sandwich- like 1/4 of one and some chocolate milk. she did have a cupcake but she left the frosting. how can you leave the frosting? what a total waste. then once we came home she asked for hamilton's cupcake. (daddy gave in after she asked ham if she could have his) and once again, she left the frosting!! talk about disappointing.

once again i'm not sure what to make of mike's job. some days it sounds all good and then other days he tells me there might not be anything for him anymore. and we just had friends tell us about their friends who had to take a $30-40,000.00 pay cut. there's no way we could live doing that even with me going back to work. i wouldn't make enough....remember i am not a professional, well maybe a professional job seeker. i don't want to move out of the area either for hamilton's sake. i know its tough being a high school kid anyway, then go and try to make new friends..... no way! but there might not be much of a choice. i would like to move into a new house though.

oh. i did get my converse shoes on sunday at target. love them! they even had what size you would need vs. kids/womens/mens. of course i bought a kids size- they were 10 bucks cheaper!!

love it. hate it

love play doh. love the fact that it gives my kid some time away from me and uses imagination. love that its squishy, mushy and you can do whatever you want to it.

hate play do. hate the smell of it. hate that it dries out if you leave it out too long. hate cleaning up after it and it still leaves a little mess.
