my pesky cat likes to go outside

1. went and ran some errands today. the husband came with me while ham watched his sister.

2. went to jcpenneys and got some "work" clothes. i don't like jcpenney's but there's not much of an option around here.

3. should of known there was a reason why mike volunteered to go to the grocery store with me. he wanted to buy food for super bowl!

4. so we got into a big fight. i want nothing to do with his super bowl party. nothing. not even cleaning the house for it.

5. my mom called ham to TRY and set him up on a blind date with one of her friend's daughter who happens to be 18 also. [they were born 3 days apart] ham thought that was just weird.

6. what the hell?! this can't be right and i demand a recount. my blog is not on this up and coming blogs list! [just kidding!]

7. just finished watching one of my favorite movie- pretty in pink

8. i still love the fashion and the music.

9. also watched serendipity. wish my husband would be a jackass like in the movie. not like the kind he is now.

10. i'm wishing/praying for a school delay tomorrow.

1. really enjoying my job. its forcing me to get dressed up and to get out.

2. i pretty much set my own hours. hopefully i'm doing it right and new, repeating customers will be established. [if you go there- tell the manager on duty i sent ya!]

3. thursday i went out in the cold + snow to "pimp my hotbox" [sorry if this offends anyone]

4. friday mike + i surprised kaylee at lunch. she knew i was coming but not mike.

5. i helped with her cooking class and made them "zero" shaped donuts in honor of 100 day. [thursday was their 100 day of being in school]

6. friday evening went over to a friends house for some YUMMY dinner! [craving those fajitas right now]

7. and we played a dice game called lcr. of course the person that brought it turned it into a gambling game, which made it so much more fun.

8. today was a lazy day. we didn't budge till 3pm. went roller skating again. this time to a different place. it was much nicer and less crowded. kaylee even tried to skate alone for a brief second or two.

9. ate dinner at texas roadhouse. they had $3 long island ice teas. had to give mine to mike. alcoholic beverages have been giving me headaches lately.

10. HOLLA! been invited to join 4-5 other couples for a night down in indy. we will be going sometime in february.

the nuggets lunch box on tuesday

1. she's been buying her lunches lately so this is a rare treat.

2. she asked me to put a note in there. [i was going to anyway] she said it makes her happy which makes me happy.

3. i've noticed that i haven't been doing much with her after school. i get busy making dinner, cleaning the kitchen afterwards etc...

4. so tuesday we did her nails and she helped me make chocolate pudding after dinner.

5. tuesday i also started cleaning. after turning off the sweeper in ham's room i heard a knock on the door. i didn't answer it because i figured it was my jehovah witness stalker.

6. he came back in the afternoon too. but i didn't open the door then either.

7. today kaylee and i did laundry together. hey- its something.

8. i worked 5 1/2 hours today. yeah, i think hell froze over too.

9. i am now a marketing person for my parent's restaurants. but mostly for the pizza joint. it needs a little boosting.

10. so if you are ever in the south bend, notre dame area you should really check the place out. the pizza is really delicious!

1. after mike had taken kaylee out roller skating she didn't want to do it anymore.

2. after eating birthday pizza and cupcakes and seeing me in roller skates she was ready to go back out.

3. i think she felt safer with me + mike holding her up.

4. we all had a great time and would love to go back with friends. [hint hint hint]

5. i did go out with the girls saturday night. went and saw no strings attached -it was cute, ate dinner at texas roadhouse and then ended the night with lots of shots for the birthday girl + me at a local bar. [shots are expensive! good thing i don't do this often!]

6. sunday went to pick up nugget at my in-laws, ate hot box pizza then chilled rest of the evening.

7. daddy hurt kaylee's feelings when they were playing so i had to deal with 30 minutes of heartbreak.

8. it came out that no one wants to play with her, no one likes her...which we all know is not true.

9. hate having to see any kid unhappy or feeling unloved or unwanted. having it be one of my own- talk about a stab in the heart!

10. after lots of hugs + kisses she felt much better and was laughing and doing her funny dance again.

1. sad that the weekend is over though i could re-do friday

2. saturday we had a great time at one of my nieces roller skating party.

3. kaylee didn't want to skate at first then after eating some pizza she was all game. it helped that i was out there with her too.

4. also had a great time with the girls saturday night. went and saw no strings attached- cute movie, ate dinner at texas roadhouse then completed the night by doing lots of shots at a local bar.

5. today we headed over to my in-laws to pick up kaylee, went and got hot box pizza and came home to chill. in the evening i heard kaylee crying.

6. daddy had hurt her feelings [they were playing a game] which then lead to a heartbreaking 30 minutes.

7. she told me nobody wants to play with her at school and that no one likes her.

8. i've been trying to avoid sending outdoor snow gear because its so much stuff for her to carry. guess when this happens and they go outside for recess she gets excluded when the other kids go to play.

9. and i guess her feelings did get her when we were at our friends house for a playdate. her best friend played with the other boy rather than her.

10. i told her she has to be nice if she wants other people to be nice to her.

1. i had this feeling of sadness and disappointment lingering over me all day.

2. just my life [and kids] turned out way differently than what i had imagined.

3. not to be complaining because i do have a lot to be blessed for.

4. just thought i would be doing more. what of? i don't know.

6. reconsidering going out with the girls tomorrow night.

7. i complain that i don't have girlfriends to go out with but i do have girlfriends to go out with.

8. kaylee is super wimpy. i clean her earrings, she says ouch! i touch her earrings, she says ouch!

9. but i'm still glad we got them done. before too long she won't even remember they are there.

10. i'm so ready for winter + football season to be over!

1. she wasn't going to cry but when i asked her how was it? the tears started pooling.

2. the girl who did the piercing was quick, she moved right on to the next ear wasting no time.

3. i'm tormenting jack with a laser light. cats are so funny!

4. my ears are getting use to hearing ham cuss right now. he must be playing his xbox and losing.

5. one of my nieces is having a birthday party on saturday. at the roller rink. yep, takes me back to the 80's.

6. i also have an invitation to birthday girls night out but not sure if i will be going.

7. don't want to spend the $$$. i know. call me a tightwad. but its movies, dinner and drinks afterwards. [and you know you gotta have birthday shots all night]

8. when i wasn't feeling very well last week i ended up with chapped, cracked lips. i used this and in two days my pouty lips were better.

9. i also used this for the chapped nose. i also use it on my feet. this stuff is wickedly good.

10. i'm helping kaylee's class tomorrow for a few hours. i'm going to surprise her and join her for lunch. she will be HAPPY! [i think]

1. bummed that i was at the grocery store when her tooth finally came out.

2. had to facebook what the going rate was for a first lost tooth.

3. glad to report it has not increased much since ham was this age.

4. in fact the tooth fairy is "recycling" all his tooth fairy coins. she got 3- $1.00 gold coins.

5. i tried couponing. it takes a lot of time and energy but i saved almost 40 bucks between coupons + sales.

6. i was super busy today. super busy doing nothing and feeding my face!

7. i didn't even shower till noon. i blame it on the 2 benadryls i took last night. i was still groggy this morning. [my eczema is back on my neck + i itch everywhere]

8. i did make dinner. lasagna + garlic cheese bread.

9. ham wants a juicy steak + mashed potatoes for dinner. will have to see how much steaks are first.

10. kaylee said her favorite thing about school is snack time and then coming home.

she also asked me how many more years of school she has. she was shocked when i told her she also has 4 mores for college.

1. she must of been tired because she fell asleep on her own before 8pm that night.

8. though friday night i had mike drive me to target to buy twizzlers and good chocolates. the ladies at my mom's coffee shop back in the day use to call them "better than the o" chocolates.

10. i also bought a date planner from ebay. i've been wanting a place that i can keep track of my health history and the one i wanted sold last week. this morning i found another one and they did a buy it now for me. i'm a happy camper.

1. the weekend came and gone. our highlight was the in-laws coming over for lunch on saturday. made meatloaf in a crock-pot and parmesan garlic mashed potatoes. first time for both.

2. today kaylee + i got to visit with some friends. it's AWESOME! to have friends who support, laugh and understand you.

3. the kids were off from school to honor "king martin luther's day" according to kaylee.

4. speaking of the nugget. she gave me a reality check tonight.

5. on our way home from monday night dinner she asked me what she had tomorrow.

6. i told her in my don't bother me tone " i don't know what you have, its tuesday, you should know this already."

7. she said i was mean. so i yelled back " you want to see mean?! when we get home you will take a quick shower and go to your room!"

8. she cried and said "i'm sorry. i thought you knew because you always know this stuff." [i'm teary eyed right now while typing this]

9. i immediately apologized to her and said she was right, i was being mean and for no reason at all. i promised her i would work on being nicer.

10. i've been aware that this is how i talk to my kids sometimes -not on purpose but it just comes out in a mean or annoyed type tone. hopefully this was the end.

and threw happy birthday snow on daddy even though its no ones birthday

she brought home her progress report

she got perfect scores on all her learning

and only ok marks on participation, positive attitude and her ability to believe in herself.

of course i feel responsible.

wednesday?

i thought today was thursday

but its only wednesday

kaylee is still sick with fever

i am too but with no fever

i went to take a dayquil only to find they expired in 2009

monday i starved my poor kids. waited for mike to go to the grocery store after work

only to have him text me at 5:30 that he had to stay later

ham will do anything for food, sometimes and watched kaylee while i went

to the grocery store

i've only spent about $70 including ordering pizza last night on groceries

and i still have stuff to make a few easy meals this week. [holla!]

do people really dress like this everyday?

i wish the people from what not to wear would come and find me

i also have a secret crush on clinton. [i like stacy too]

thank- you for the condolences. mike's grandma was a terrific lady who

even during her last days thought of others before herself

[she apologized on christmas eve for taking too long to die!]

i am completely honored that she accepted me + ham into her family

the funeral was saturday morning

we drove through a wild yet beautiful snow storm.

even though kaylee was sick she wanted to go over to nana's house afterwards

so her + nana watched movies together

1. yesterday was a blah kind of day. i did do 30 minutes of wii fit but i also ended up taking a nap. not sure if its because i didn't take my iron pill.

2. today i did an hour of wii fit. 30 mins in the morning and 30 minutes after dinner. took iron pill and no naps.

3. i've been inspired by this blog. think she's cute as a button and looks fab in her clothes. made me want to get off my butt and be skinny again. [yes! i use to be skinny!]

4. and i've been motivated by her. did you see her before and after photos- AMAZING!

5. and the real [ass] kicker was seeing myself butt naked today. i was trying on my old size 2 clothes but i couldn't squeeze anything into them.

6. need clothes for a funeral this weekend.

7. mike's super awesome grandma died tuesday morning. so sad yet a relief. relief because it was not her laying there in bed not talking or moving or cracking jokes or sipping on gin + tonics.

8. made wild salmon and organic rice tonight for dinner. [using whats in the freezer and pantry]

9. i love it when we have family dinner and everyone is in a good mood. we talked about what ham wants to study down at purdue since he did not get into engineering school. they do offer engineering technical degrees which could end up being better.

10. i've spent $$$ but it doesn't count. $10 [kaylee lunch money], $7 for tip [free dinner at bdubs] and today i bought clothes for me + ham for the funeral. these are all necessities.

1. after seeing me in my outfit, kaylee wanted to dress just. like. me. even down to the gray socks + black shoes.

2. we went to olive garden to eat lunch since it was the last day of winter break. [ham decided sleeping was more important- humpf!]

3. kaylee + i went to our local mall while mike went to a buddy's house to watch football.

4. kaylee wanted to check out the jewelry section and thats when i said "if you got your ears pierced we would definitely be twins." she said "OK!"

5. she was a trooper and wasn't going to cry till i asked her if she was ok. thats when the tears flooded. but she loves them now!

6. i've been doing good on my goals for the new year. yesterday i kept moving and started dinner before taking kaylee to dance class. today i did 30 minutes of wii fit. [its a start!]

7. i also want to start spending less $$$ on a daily basis. monday didn't count since it was ham's birthday.

8. i signed up to take a 1 hour class on couponing hosted by our local newspaper. i had mike watch this and he was sorta impressed. [we would love to have that much free toilet paper!]

9. planning on cleaning out the freezer and cupboards. i warned mike their could be some weird meals made this week.

10. bummed i didn't win the emersonmade $650 giveaway. i LOVE their spring preview so much that i might have to cheat and buy a few things.

*spent $40.00 on kaylee's dance class yesterday.

eighteen

1. he turned 18 today.

2. i let him stay home from school. he gets 1 freebie a year. it's been tradition ever since he was in kindergarten. kaylee gets one too but i'm going to make her wait till its warm then we will play hookie.

3. he is now legal to buy cigarettes, porn and to vote. i hope he only does 1 out of the 3.

4. i baked him a chocolate chip, carmel cheesecake.

5. we got him an under armour hoodie and some benjamin's for his birthday.

6. we celebrated over at my parents house where he got even more money.

7. even with all the trouble he has gotten into, i love him with my whole heart and being.

8. i really couldn't be more prouder. he was a beautiful baby born on his actual due date and now he's a handsome young man.

9. i hope + wish only great + wonderful things for him.

10. this commercial totally reminds me of him. he's the m+m saying "you get in the bowl."

hello 2011

1-2-2010

2010 can be described with many words but when it comes down to it its life. i hope only good things continue for 2011 and that my family + friends are healthy, strong, wise and loved.

some of my goals for the new year:

1. take better quality photos. i used the flash way too much because it was easier.

2. be organized + better prepared .

3. do more outside of my comfort zone.

4. be happy and smile more.

5. love more. myself and my family.

6. create special moments. [ie hams's birthday even though he hasn't told me what he wanted and tomorrow is last day of winter break etc...]
