over the weekend

ham's car

1. weekend was pretty uneventful. our entertainment president was still out of town.

2. kaylee and i did make some peanut butter cookies with carmel hugs in the center. YUM!

3. we also went to the airport and got ourselves a puppy.

4. i only had to circle the airport twice not like the 4 times when i went to pick up my m.i.l. [mike's fault, he gave me the wrong terminal]

5. i don't know why but when i have something in mind it won't go away and i tend to make haste decisions. is that being used correctly- haste?

6. while the puppy is SUPER good- hardly makes a sound and hasn't had an accident [knock on wood]

i've decided that i am not a pet person and this will be our last one. [good to know these things]

7. ham has a get sorta rich scheme. he thinks he can sell his car for $5000 more than what we payed for it now that he's fixed it up cosmetically. 

8. i haven't been brave enough to throw that one at mike. think i will wait and have ham suggest it so mike can laugh at him.

9. i also gave kaylee a haircut. just her bangs and by her request. she looks ADORABLE of course.

10. i asked her if she likes living in texas yet. she said she doesn't know because she misses her friends. I told her i know how you feel.

2. my parents finally sent my other christmas package and it should be here tomorrow. i love happy mail!

3. laundry is caught up

4. found another use for my french press coffee maker-to brew my expensive tea!

5. found those comfy shoes i tried on in san antonio and they are shipping them to me for free!

6. the zit under my nose is going away.

7. 11:00 last night felt a burst of energy and its still here! might just mop the floors today.

8. kaylee using her imagination. she made a texas drivers license, had ham pull her over and throw her in jail because she forgot her drivers license.

9. seeing kids walk, ride their bikes and wearing flip flops and shorts to school in january.

10. and the no-brainer: its the weekend!

five and dime my mind

1. i'm stuck in a funk again and this time its taking longer to get out.

2. so while i wait for my mind, body and soul to become one, i will continue to eat fat and sugar and not walk.

3. this week i've wondered around mindlessly. 

4. went back to the mall a few times and today i finished returning everything that i did not like. i've decided to quit keeping everything i don't like!

5. i felt guilty taking back the bobbi brown make-up but i never used any of it and i returned them because on-line i get 2 free color palettes and i decided if i'm going to spend that kind of money i deserve 2 free color palettes.

5. and the sales lady had an attitude which turned my guilty feeling to not feeling guilty.

6. had yet another eye appointment. hopefully we will see major improvement in 3 weeks so i can get out of my "i look really ugly" glasses.

7. started to watch the social network and couldn't stand watching anymore of it. the main character is a cocky s.o.b and i can't stand people like that.

8. i do want to go and watch the vow. i'm a sucker for sappy romantic movies. [loved this !]

*9. and i got tons of people repinning this today. i wonder how it all works because i also got a few other things repinned today that i've pinned a long time ago.

1. i went to our local mall in search for some very comfy shoes i found while in san antonio. [my only retail store and didn't have my size]

2. still feeling a little down on myself, decided to do another make-over at the bobbi brown counter.

3. i felt much better. not sure if it was the make-over or buying the make-up? i also ended up with some very expensive tea. 

4. the tea lady lured me in with her samples and took advantage of my state of confusion while in the store.  but it is awesome tea.

5. today i really need to clean the house and get some groceries.

6. ham's been busy with his car. its amazing the details this kid does. 

7. he hand sanded the silver window trim then sprayed painted them black. he's doing something to his radio/cd player, he even detailed cleaned it the next day he got it- with q-tips!

8. and now he claybared it which means he took a bar that looked like hotel soap and went over the whole car. its to get all the dirt off the paint so when he goes to wash and wax it, it will be smooth.

9. i've love watching pan am sunday nights. i hope they don't cancel the show.

10. i also found a new taco recipe. [hate the seasoning that comes in a packet] instead of making them into pockets, i brown the beef, drain, then add garlic, chili powder, cumin and hot sauce with about 1/4- 1/2 cup water. stir and simmer till it looks right consistency. 

throwing parties for myself

1. Friday we went to San Antonio and was surprised to see The Almo right in the city.

 2. When Mike said he would take our photo in front of it, I grabbed Kaylee to hide my fat and my m-i-l said that's what she usually does so she grabbed me.

3. We went walking around the Riverwalk and even took a boat tour of it.

4. Did some shopping but not too much. I wanted to shop local rather than mall.

5. we had a great time and look forward to going back to explore some more. maybe stay for the weekend.

6. yesterday i had a party for myself. a pity party that is.

7. its my own doing but that doesn't mean i can't have "wish this was vodka instead of water" days.

8. felt a little better this morning till i saw these photos of myself.

9. i also hate wearing glasses.

10. funny story: m-i-l asks if i had gotten anything from jane porter lately. i said no, i haven't won anything from her blog in awhile when the doorbell rings. its a package from JANE PORTER!

wednesday already?

1. my m-i-l is coming to town. i think i'm a little offended when she said she wasn't sure if i would pick her up or not. maybe i'll be a little late to make her sweat. [hee hee]

2. i found a great solution to my lack of commitment to when it comes to pets.  we could become foster parents but mike didn't like the idea. he gets attached too easily.

3.  i found awesome art that i would love to get for my bare walls but i can't find to purchase anywhere!

4. at least i'm closer to knowing what i want: something funny or something vintage.

5. kaylee and i went and saw alvin and the chipmunks on monday since she was off from school.

6. i was a bad girl and went shopping at the outlet mall on sunday. bought myself 4 tops! [i told myself i wasn't going to buy any more clothes till i lost 10-15 lbs.] 

7. i have NO WILL POWER!  i wish one of my brothers would tell me i'm fat, that usually worked in high school.

8. my parents were suppose to send me a package the week after christmas. its still not here yet. i have/am  become/still the forgotten child.

9. i think i might order me a few of these by jonathan adler. good price and will spiffy up my bathrooms with color for cheap.  besides toilet paper, i'm sure they could hold other stuff.

10. wish my mom was this cool.  drooling for a dutch maid bakery carrot cake....

it's my blogs birthday. i think its today and i think it's been four years since i started it.

that's a lot of brain dumping!

[i'm too lazy to check the facts. its a wonder how i get anything done]

i would love to do a giveaway but i only have like 3 readers. i think i have 3.

anyway, happy birthday lil boring blog of mine.

miss

1. i was editing photos from 2011 and boy did it make me  homesick.

2. i didn't think i ever would be because texas is still pretty awesome.

3. i miss this house and its huge yard. seeing the pond covered in freshly fallen snow. [i don't miss the cold weather though!]

4. i miss last minute get togethers with friends.

5. i miss having the house fully decorated the way i liked it and getting to enjoy it.

6. *sigh* now i'm back to square one with no clue on what i want or how to do it.

7. i know my little frustrations are simple and really unimportant compared to the real world but this is my world at the moment.

8. also in my world, after going to target and checking in the mirror i find a white snot/booger thingy in my nose. [it was up in there so hopefully no one saw it since i'm so short]

9. i also miss kaylee with short hair. i love seeing her in tiny pigtails.

10. i also miss my cats. i'm a horrible pet owner and do not deserve any more pets.

ramblings on a wednesday

1. i was shocked when ham said he wanted to go and get his skateboard on monday. that meant we would have to go to the M.A.L.L! [they have 2 skate type shops that sell skateboards]

2. i took total advantage of it and made him look for some clothes too. he ended up getting 2 pairs of jeans and a flannel shirt. [he now has 3-yup! 3 pairs of jeans.]

3. kaylee got a new pair of shoes from the vans store. like she really needed a new pair but they're so cute! [she even wants me to get a matching pair but she has pink stitching]

4. still looking for a place to go to for spring break. mike wants to start making it a tradition.

5. i made the pioneer woman's chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy last night but made it with chicken instead. the family loved it and i must say her recipes have not failed me yet!

6. kaylee and i sang karokee last night, something we haven't done since she started school.

7. we you tubed our oldies- keane's somewhere only where we know and everybody's changing and belted the lyrics as loud as we could. even though i had the lyrics playing, she remembered all the words. [we did some taylor swift and miley cyrus too]

8. i've been out and about for the past 2 days and came to realize last night that while i don't mind being alone, i like to be around other people.

9. being in the house all day gets boring and lonely. i miss my little sidekick.

10. i love all the color she has in her house.  i want color in my house!!

1. not one of my proudest moments. i wanted to take photos of the view and did take a peak only to find myself becoming dizzy.

2. everyone had a great time at my expense.

3. found out we might not be going to ft. myers for spring break. mike's aunt couldn't get us her time share.

4. but i started walking anyway. i find it clears the clutter from the brain.

5. busy weekend cleaning and getting the house organized.

6. even worked on my craft room and found a beautiful cabinet to store all my crap craft in. [to be bought on a later date]

7. ham came home with a car on friday. another bmw but older.

8. my kids are spoiled and when i die, i hope to come back as one of them! [got that idea from mike's old boss]

9. speaking of mike- he got another promotion. he's doing the same job but he's a level up and his mentor told him he would like to get mike doing something on the rig next year which basically means another promotion and closer to taking over his mentor's job.

10. but it also means mike will be gone for about 2 weeks then home for 2 weeks.  not sure how fleanut will do with him being gone and me with him being home!

Ham's birthday Strawberry Cheesecake

1. to say Ham loved his birthday cheesecake would be an understatement.

2. he pretty much ate the rest of it that night.

3. he turned 19 on January 3rd which was his due date by the way.

4. i went searching all over for a few under armour sweatshirts but couldn't find any that he would like.

5. then i went to the mall and in desperation bought him a sweatshirt from vans and a sweatshirt type coat from another skate type shop.

6. i figured it gave him something to open even if i had to return them.

7. we also gave him that orange video chair that we forgot to give him for christmas.

8. kaylee drew him a picture, wrapped it up then teased him that he couldn't open it till his birthday. [oh so sweet!]

9. i'm shocked to say this but i think he loved everything we got him! [oh, we're also getting him a new skateboard but he has to pick it out]

10. and today he is up and out the door by 9AM. mike is taking him to dallas to look at a car he found.

starting the new year

1. my sister and her family came to visit for a few days. they finally showed up sometime after midnight, new year's eve.

2. the next day my sister and i went and got pedi's because she's going on a cruise and has yuck feet.

3. we ate lots of yummy food and drank a few [3 each!] strawberry margaritas at lupe tortilla.

4. i may have laughed and annoyed tables around us the whole time but i didn't care. i haven't laughed that hard in a long time!

5. the girls and boys went hot tubbing while we watched twilight.

6. we also checked out the aquarium and rode on the ferris wheel which i regretted the moment it took off.

7. i got made fun for being a wuss on the ferris wheel by sweet kaylee and nieces. [photos later to show why]

8. we also got to see big fireworks new years eve.

9. sorry for not posting on the ol' blog but its a new year and i wanted to make some changes, again.

10. i have the same new years resolutions as the previous years this time with more motivation. mike's giving me $$$$ to lose 10 lbs and more $$$$ if i lose 15 plus we're going to ft. myers for spring break in march!
