mondays suck

1. i hate mondays. i just need one more day to recoup for some reason so i tend to make my mondays very low key. (in fact, when i worked at pier 1, mondays and saturdays were my day off days)

2. except for this week, i have a mile long list of things to be done before kaylee's birthday party. grocery shopping is number 1. we have been out of cat food since wednesday so my pesky cat who thinks he is not a cat has been eating tuna and bread.

3. speaking of kaylee's birthday party- nothing and i mean nothing that i had originally planned has been working out. finding the stuff i WANT has been impossible to find and time. where does it go?

4. bummed that i never got my bissell steam mop for $49.99. i ended up calling target saturday when mike came home empty handed. none of the 3 stores within driving distance had any in stock. they probably will today but the sale price has ended.

5. had an awesome time at ben's 3rd birthday party saturday. got to see my buddies and got to love on little c man.

6. tons of sales going on for cyber monday. too bad i am out of money.

7. went to ikea yesterday and dropped some dough like it was HOT! got some stuff i've been needing/wanting for the house: curtains, curtain rods, picture frames and my long white shelf plus a few other items. the wants on my list will have to wait for the next trip. my goal is go every 6 months. mike is thrilled.

8. mike + kaylee came with. he was worried that i wouldn't make it. i have a fear of driving in chicago traffic but was ready to take on that fear yesterday. if i do it once then the fear tends to go away but not the sweaty arm pits.

9. i did not have a fun experience learning to drive with my parents. my shoulders still twitch just at the thought and i took out my friends mailbox. a brick mailbox if that helps any.

10. i think my kids are trying to kill me. S-L-O-W-L-Y. kaylee's a little whiny, still clingy + constantly needy. ham is killing me with his need for expensive clothing (when did this happen?) and itouch/iphone "i cant make up mind" decision.

10 things right now: saturday

1. not the best pic but its of them, at the same time, which i treasure.

2. thanksgiving was awesome. mike's (aunt) sherri went all out and made tons of food. tons of it. all by herself. she claimed this will be her last year so i volunteered to do next years but i doubt they will all drive over to our house. (we are the odd man out living 50 minutes away from the rest of the fam)

3. i was going to go out for black friday to get ham an itouch but then he became a butthead and said he didn't want an itouch anymore but an iphone. with the way our cell phone company works, he's not "eligible" for a new phone till march. he doesn't want to wait till march. so that means he doesn't want either i guess.

4. i did end up going out by 7am to get myself a steam mop- who needs a steam mop besides me? but when i got there they were all out. mike is out right now, fingers crossed, getting me my steam mop. it was crazy busy let me tell you! target had all their cashiers full with at least 3 different lines wrapping around the store.

5. later we headed over to our big mall but stayed away from the mall itself and went into a few non-chained stores. got my brother and his wife their gifts. (we had a family drawing for us adult kids) then out to lunch at the olive garden. they have the best soup, salad+ breadstick combo.

6. mike and i took a nap while kaylee watched tv so it wasn't a quiet, non disturbed nap but it was a nap.

7. she kept bugging us to put up the christmas tree/decoration so we finally did that.

8. finally came up with what i wanted to do with one of big blank walls in the family room. thinking of going to ikea on sunday to get two shelves to hang up in there and make it into one long shelf.

9. oh- wednesday and thursday morning i got my craft room primed and painted. it looks so much better. i still need to put everything back in there but organizing at the same time so its taking a lot longer than mike would like. (all my stuff is out in his "man cave"- the horror!)

10. kaylee has a line to say in her christmas program. not only does she know all of her lines but everyone else's too. i'm very impressed.

10 things right now: wednesday

1. if my house had some character like these floors, i would be one happy homemaker. love the concrete and hard wood floors, love the dark floors against the white walls...LOVE.....{via bliss}

2. so i didn't order any of those dresses for kaylee that i had posted about last thursday. {see #8} i went around last night looking for something local but came home empty handed. {we only have a kohls, target, jcpenneys or elder beerman} everything was either way too casual or way too dressy. not at all kaylee's style aka my style.

3. then i found this one and got 20% off by googling gap sales. i hate "wasting" money on shipping so i bought her another outfit from old navy to get free shipping. i would rather have shipping money go to something even if that means i have to spend a little more. am i the only who thinks this way?

4. i might be going out on black friday to our local target for one item. i think ham's finally made up his mind on the itouch- he's been debating since last year. if i buy it, i get a $30 gift card and if i buy before noon, i get another $10 gift card because its over $100.

5. ahhhh....sigh of relief. my car will finally be payed for at the end of the month.

6. i miss my buddy who has her parents in town visiting from scotland. hope she's taking advantage of her parents and getting some "me" time!

7. started working on my craft room. like i said on my face book page, if you don't hear from me in awhile- send help! its a hoarders paradise!

8. as we all know i'm a list maker. something on my list for december is to cook more meals. we eat at my parents restaurants' at least once a week and my parent's house every monday night. i want to add more fruits and veggies to our diets.

9. kaylee and i are needing some time away from each other. she's become super clingy. she usually doesn't mind if i leave her with daddy but lately she's been crying for me. (i love it and hate it at the same time)

10. now to get ham to express any kind of love for his mother is a whole different story.

i've seen ruche advertised on other blogs but never checked them out till a week or so ago. i figured they would be expensive like all the other sponsers but was pleasantly surprised by their prices and super cute style. {i've got many items on my wish list!}

10 things right now : tuesday

1. no this not my teenage son's closet. this is my dear husband's before and after. its all clean clothes on the floor. {i only fold, everyone else is responsible for putting away} i spent some time yesterday morning folding, organizing and straighten his clothes. he was out of town yesterday so he hasn't seen it yet. {please ignore that big brown blob on the top shelf, that's just a comforter}

2. one of the many "remodel" things i wanted to have done when we first moved in- replace those ugly plastic shelving system! {i have a drawing made up of how its going to look}

3. poor kaylee is sick again. no fever but she's got that cough back.

4. yep, mom had pecan pie, pumpkin pie and jello- cake for dessert last night but mine did not get over looked! my dad requested a maple oatmeal pie and that's what i made for him. he loved it!

5. they leave for a 8 day cruise on thanksgiving.

6. we got a 2 hour school delay this morning which i needed. with mike being out of town and his truck being broken into last week, i went to bed late. i also ended up putting something/anything in front of doors and ground level windows even though we have security system and i slept with a baseball bat.

7. i got this yesterday from my favorite big brown truck. its super cute and i'm glad i got it when it was on sale! kaylee's going to love it!

8. ham wanted to know where his was.

9. i'm skipping my chiro this week because of kaylee not feeling well. i can tell the difference. i feel out of it today.

10. last night i made ham go with to monday night dinner since we were celebrating thanksgiving. all the cousins tried to beat him up only to call for help from granny. they all got him down on a chair and my mom yelled "ham's ticklish under his arms!" then my nephew, jake- he's 8? yells " ham's ticklish in his balls too!" guess you had to be there. jake wasn't even near ham. it was so out of the blue that it was funny. inappropriate but funny!

10 things on a lazy sunday night

1. kaylee buttering a bagel. hate the fact that she's big enough and old enough to do this.

2. tonight while she was falling asleep she told me she loves me infinity and loves daddy 100. i'm documenting this for when she turns into a teenager and wants nothing to do with me.

3. i've lost my inner martha {stewart} mojo and would really love to have it back. for some time there i was cleaning house, caught up on laundry, making dinners, errand running...

4. weekend was good. friday we were So bored. no one to see and nothing to do so we took kaylee to a movie- planet 51. it was a cute movie. kaylee loves her buttered popcorn just like her mama.

5. still working on my list of things to gather before winter arrives. i plan on staying in whenever possible so i'm loading up on crafts, projects and food.

6. speaking of gathering for the winter, a squirrel came up to our back patio door with a nut in its mouth. it was so cute! i tried to get a picture of it before he ran off but my camera wouldn't cooperate.

7. trying to convince mike to trade kaylee's room and my craft room around. she doesn't use her "bedroom" and i don't want to be in the basement- i love natural light! i see it as a guest room till she's ready to move into her own bed and by that time ham will be in *GASP* college, then we can move her bed back upstairs.

8. tomorrow night at monday night dinner we will be celebrating thanksgiving since most of us will be out of town on the actual day. mom told me to bring dessert. the last time she told me to bring something, she made like 3 extra dishes so mine got ignored. i wonder how many desserts she's made for tomorrow.

9. ham just told me he found a pair of jeans on-line for $135.00!! yeah, he's a little cuckoo!

10. thanks for the encouragement left on my advent calendar love post. i'm currently making some simple curtains for my master bath area but after that i will be making those advent goodie bags just smaller.

10 very long things right now: thursday

1. think one of these "vicious" looking dogs would make for a great guard dog? via sharon montrose. {sorry for the repeats from the old blog but i want to keep adding my favorites on this new blog so bear with me}

2. mike's work truck got broken into last night and of course he left his work laptop in his truck. just glad it was his truck and not the house and that no one got hurt. except for the bastards who did, i hope they got hurt.

3. so this morning i'm coming up with all the high security measures needed in keeping my family safe. cute guard dogs included. i even had a sandra bullock moment {from her new movie coming out this week- blindside} and said in my head "anyone who messes with mike's truck, messes with me."

4. kaylee and i have been playing earring shop. she loves getting all my earrings out, i pretend to ring a bell, she comes out and puts the earrings in my ear that i have chosen. then we do it all again.

5. one day last week i let kaylee give me a panicure and pedicure. yes, another kayleeism. she didn't do too bad of a job.

6. chiropractor is going great! just a few dull aches in my back/shoulder now and then, nothing like before. my sinuses are still messed up but at least one complaint is slowly diminishing.

7. kaylee has a line to say in her pre-school christmas program. we worked on it all weekend and she finally has it down.

8. looking for a birthday/holiday dress for kaylee. have this one from kayce hughes/pears and bears but think it might be too spring/summerish even with a red cardigan. loving this one with a cream turtleneck for a casual look and cream cardigan for a dressy look. also loving this one but can't decide red or green.

9. last night mike told kaylee to get use to it being so dark at 6pm, we still have 6 months to go. depressing huh?

10. last friday one of my sweet buddies surprised me with a hot chocolate from starbucks because she knew i was craving one. totally enjoyed it and it warmed my heart. i was on my way to the grocery store when it hits me- i have to use the bathroom. i hate using public restrooms and try to avoid it at all costs. but i had too because i had to go THAT badly. afterwards i went on my merry way of getting some groceries when i had to go again! {before drinking my delicious hot chocolate, i drank 20 oz of water.} i left my cart and drove home hoping to make it and hoped no trains along the way. happy to report, i did not have to wait on any trains and i did make it home.

10 things crack'n at the moment: wednesday

1. ham skateboarding this past spring. i really need to get more pics of my family. i've been crack'n, lack'n, slack'n.

2. with thanksgiving right around the corner and all the retail shops having their christmas stuff out, i'm itching to get out the christmas stuff. though i don't know where i'm going to put everything. i don't have the shelves like i had in the old house. where am i going to hang the stockings with no fireplace???

3. was reading a blog this morning about a mom with 3 young boys and newborn baby girl. makes me wonder if i held ham back from being ALL BOY? he was never one to go and play in the dirt. *sigh* i really need to quit beating myself up over things. would of, could of, should of- the past is the past. {not that he's girly either}

4. my trip to target on monday was awesome. this is why: i bought $130.00 worth of items and only had to pay 20 bucks for it!

5. though the money i saved went very quickly. went to kohls last night and spent 40+ bucks for 7 undershirts and 4 pairs of boxers for ham. and these were bought in money saving packaged form, not singles.

6. and why is he SO picky? i bought him plan boxers but in different colors, he wants plaid or with some sort of design on them. (who am i kidding- he's always been picky. i've created a MONSTER! a very handsome monster though)

7. ordered kaylee's pottery barn sleeping bag since it was "on sale" though with shipping and tax it cost pretty much its normal price. i still need to order her apron but signed up for dwell studio's emails in hopes they send me an email with free shipping or a discount off my first order.

8. mike just sent me an email about obama. now whether you like him or not is your choice but don't send me stuff about how bad of a job you think he is doing. take a moment and be in his shoes. he's not the only one who decides all these things. he's not the only one who makes the speeches. and i dont think it matters who the president is, someone out there will always be hating.

9. still working on decluttering my photos for printing. *yikes* the minute i start is the minute i want to stop. there's SO many!

10. my plans on having one birthday party for kaylee has quickly changed. since most of my family can't make it on the day of her party, i get to host monday night dinner on her actual birth day.

10 things right now + weekend recap

1. one of my favorite little dudes taken a few weeks ago. wonder what little c-man is thinking. he reminds of ham, ham was never a thumb sucker, it was always his pointer finger.

2. had a great weekend. friday was the scentsy party. ended up staying way later than had planned so no quiet bath time for me. saturday went with a buddy to support her in getting her tattoo. she ran the chicago marathon so she rightfully got a shamrock with 26.2 in it. it turned out wickedly cool. and sunday stayed in all day and did nothing really.

3. another chiro appointment today. thinking i need to cut down on the appointments much to the dislike of the chiro but i hate spending this amount of money on me, for medical purposes when its not life threatening ya'know?

4. i know i'm going to have to take a whole box of kleenex when i go and see this movie. i love sandra bullock and i love that she plays a fearless, southern women with a southern accent.

5. going to target today after dropping kaylee off to school to do some christmas shopping. got my $100 gift card + coupons all ready to go.

6. tried to use the on-line coupon for 30% off last night on old navy from the frugal find but it wouldn't work. made the mistake and should of gone to the store. oh well, i did sign up for their emails and got $10 bucks off my total purchase. 3 of my nieces informed me they want clothes for christmas this year. got them all a sweat pant/jacket outfit.

7. i hope i get motivated enough to start working on my craft room this week. would love to start my photo albums on the kids. remember my goal of getting ham's done before he graduates?? i'm now down to 1 1/2 years, technically.

8. the next time we move, if ever, we will definitely build. found a floor plan that i love. its pretty much like the one we are living in at the moment but its got some extras that i would love to have.

9. my extended family drives me nuts! {parents, sister in laws, sisters, brothers *sigh*} don't worry, none of them read my blog or know that i have one. i like to keep it that way so i can write about them :O)

10. having a hard time with kaylee's birthday invites/party stuff. looking for cheerleading items thats not cheesy or generic looking. poor girl, its going to be sports related instead of princess-y. but she's ok with it because she gets to wear her cheerleading outfit.

2. i haven't been laughing much lately and i miss it.

3. i haven't been talking or emailing much either. guess its a sign of winter for me. i'm already starting to turn into a hermit.

4. kaylee and i did walk around our local mall yesterday for some kicks. ate a slice of pizza and bread sticks for lunch. she LOVES bread sticks with cheese sauce. then she became whiny so we came home. then i became whiny because i had to start cleaning house.

5. seriously need to get kaylee sleeping on her own. i blame this on mike and him being a first time daddy. i had her sleeping on her own once upon a time but then i let mike talk me out of it so here we are. a almost 5 year old not being able to go to sleep on her own, in her own bed.

6. got a new chili recipe to try. going to try it on the guys tomorrow for when they come over for the boxing match on tv. i'm going to make it spicy HOT to see who the real men are...bahhahahaaha *evil laugh* also making my burn going in, burn coming out stuffed jalapeno peppers and corn bread.

7. found out my brother's dentist business is starting to slow down, like a lot. to where he's either cutting back hours or letting some workers go. we use to be RV capital but with the economy , jobs went bye bye. its so bad here that President Obama has been here twice since taking office.

8. thank-full and blessed that mike has a stable job- everyone still needs gas + propane.

9. going to a scentsy party tonight for one of my sister in laws. she did book her party off mine so i feel obligated to go. scentsy is a plug-in smelly stuff warmer. i'm too lazy to post a link.

10. while i'm doing that, kaylee + mike plan on going up to laporte to take pop pop out for a birthday dinner. sounds like i might have an empty house to return to. sounds like a bubble bath is in my near future- god bless america!

late night on my mind: wednesday

1. after writing yesterdays post i felt much better. like a weight was lifted. so thanks to all who suffered through and read it.

2. had my second adjustment this week at the chiropractor and i have to say that i'm starting to feel better. my nose isnt as stuffy and i'm able to taste some food again- i tasted fresh garlic yesterday in my salad dressing, holla!

3. found out that not only do i have arthitis in my lower back but also mid back, mild scoliosis and forward head posture- my neck goes straight up and down when it should have a natural curve.

4. just watched this. makes my heart go out to those who have been and are currently serving in the war.

5. i really need to get some ideas going for kaylee's birthday party. i'm thinking of doing a cheerleading party. it's still girly yet not princessy since the princess theme has been done to death.

6. out of the blue today kaylee told me she really likes the chicken and ducklings i made last night. {kayleeism}

7. need some recipe ideas for dinner tomorrow night. been trying to cook more. again.

8. craft room is on hold. mike is planning on having some guys over saturday for the boxing fight on tv. i know i wont be able to get it done by then...then again, maybe thats the push i need?!

9. almost stopped at one of our local bakery's for some texas sheet cake.

10. found this blog- the frugul find yesterday. love that she tries them out and reports back to make sure they work. {i'm going to try to get the movie UP for $1.98. i have a $10.00 coupon for the movie and plan on doing the $9.00 rebates. i'll report back if it works or not}

bad attitude w/some good: tuesdays

via we heart it

1. i'm back to being a little sad again. sad because we still haven't gotten any money from the butt head who still owes us for the motorcycle and no one is interested in said motorcycle so it just sits in our garage.

2. sad because mike did something nice for someone (see #1) and that person took total advantage of it and there's really nothing we can do about it. i can only hope that karma will kick that person in the ass- HARD!

3. and i'm starting to feel like a hoarder. my craft room is getting fuller and fuller of junk, empty boxes, paper...

4. i'm almost motivated to start cleaning, organizing and painting it. almost.

5. i have another chiro appointment today. lets see how much money they can get out of me today and still do nothing.

6. i know, bad attitude kristi today. must be the weather- wet, gray and looks really cold out there!

7. warm chocolate chip cookies + hot apple cider sounds fantastic right now.

8. since my weekend trip to ikea has been put on hold, i traded in some of those points that would of been used for the hotel for a $100 gift card to target. normally, this would of been considered "fun money", instead i'm going to use it towards kaylee's christmas presents.

9. i just looked at the bottom of my feet- they look horrible!

at the moment & weekend recap

taken saturday evening

1. friday waited an hour to see the chiropractor only to have "testing" + x-rays done. no adjustments but a $200+ bill. {he needs to look over my tests + x-rays in order to diagnose me correctly. newsflash to him, i want him to take care of my sinus problems. i think once that's done i can get to exercising which will take care of the rest}

2. saturday we had friends over for chips+shrimp salsa, fajitas and dirt pudding. always a great time except for miss kaylee's 'tude.

3. sunday was nice, chilled the whole day but by 7pm came around i was antsy. this is what happens when i don't leave the house is 2 days. i was ready to tee-pee/saran wrap someones house/car. by midnight i was ready to run outside- NAKED!

4. desperately needing some happy drama/adventure in my life. or an inexpensive hobby. or a vacation someplace warm with a hot cabana boy bringing me frozen chocolate dessert type drinks...

5. wish someone would give me a makeover. face, hair, wardrobe, money. i'm not picky.

6. the temps this weekend was wicked awesome! sunny and in the upper 60's. wish it would/could stay for the entire winter season. snow only for a few days around christmas.

7. why is high school book fee's so much? ham's this year is $171 bucks. hate to have seen my parents bill, they had at least 2 kids in high school till i graduated then it was just my sister. (4 of us kids total, then again, that was ages ago when stamps cost 15 cents)

8. found some bar stools at our local antique shop. the price was awesome but mike has sports ones picked out for his man cave and i think they would of been too country for the kitchen.

9. kaylee has been asking/begging for a puppy and mike even considered getting one next spring. i asked him if he was NUTS?! {he is, by the way} that night i had a dream we got a cute yellow lab then our pesky cat peed right in front of me. i took that as a sign. no more animals for us!!

10. need to get kaylee to ask for a pool not a puppy.

2. so i did not get cake yesterday much to my belly's disappointment. i figured it was a great call once we went and got pizza and i couldn't taste the pineapple, ham, feta cheese or anything else that was on my pizza.

3. i think little kaylee and i will head up to our big mall today. little ham, who's much taller than me, is in desperate need of some jeans. no, i do not pick out his clothes for him, we went through the website and i wrote down what he wanted.

4. bad side of ham needing clothes- men's clothes are hardly on sale especially jeans. the good side of ham needing clothes- i get his cool hand-me-downs and he has a really nice jacket that i've been waiting for.

5. i just read nienie's blog this morning and i can not believe some people just have no manners, no couth, no sensitivity. {and my mom thinks i have no compassion?!}

6. we got kaylee's class picture yesterday and she looks SO cute in it!! too bad the photography company had to charge an arm and leg for pictures or else i would of gotten some individual ones of her.

7. i changed my family room furniture back to its original way. hard watching tv when its facing another direction.

8. i love it when kaylee says "i'm watching you lady" and does the my eyes are on you gesture {two fingers pointing to her eyes then she flicks them my way and it has to be a flick}

9. watched oprah and was a little inspired. 5 ladies had to step out of their comfort zone and went and did a little roller derbying, skydiving and skinny dipping. they all felt a little empowered after a task. i'm in desperate need of some empowerment/fulfillment.

10. i really need to get outside and work on the flower beds. i think right now would be a great time to pull up some of those ugly flowers and shrubs. {remember this is our first november in the house}

if i had a christmas list: part 1

for a few years now i've told mike not to bother getting me anything for christmas unless its this diamond ring from tiffany's. just kidding! that diamond is bigger than my whole hand! anyway, i spend enough on me throughout the year that i want to make christmas ALL about the kids. but if i had a list, daylesford organic would be right next door to me!! i'm a total sucker for their packaging. if the exchange rate wasn't so expensive, i would definitely get kaylee {or me} that little baker's set.

2. thanks to everyone who has wished kaylee well. she's much better today with a little runny nose and cough. i'm keeping her home from school just to give her a day back to being normal + as a precaution.

3. thanks to chantal via keira's adventure for the great idea. i'm going to use my 33 years of being a nationalized citizen as an excuse to buy a yummy cake from our local bakery.

4. debating on buying this comforter set. LOVE it + LOVE the price but here are my problems: if i get it, i would have to paint my room which i kinda want to do anyway. and i already bought a comforter and duvet cover. its plain and goes with the room as is.

6. kaylee has median rhomboid glossitis on her tongue. its weird looking and i'm trying to find more info about it even though my dentist brother said its nothing to worry about. he's never seen one before except in text book. {if you look it up be warned that there some pics that's just gross}

7. i always thought that once your kids became teenagers you wouldn't need "babysitters" yet they need one for all different reasons.

8. i've been doing better on my eating this week. my mentality has come to "if i cant taste it then why eat it?" i've been sucking down on my smoothies though because i know its all good for me + it fills me up. hmm...maybe i will have to wait on that cake.....

9. i seriously can't wait for my chiropractor appointment on friday.

10. since oprah's people didn't call me to be part of her over rated audience this week, my weekend trip to chicago has been postponed plus i thought the money spent on food + shopping really should go towards my overly spoiled kids birthday/christmas/birthday presents. {hotel would of been free, we have points raked up}

10 things right now: sick tuesday

1. kaylee is still under the weather but at least her fever is gone.

2. i hate hearing sirens go off after ham has just left the house. it makes me queasy + nervous.

3. kaylee had a bad dream yesterday. she dreamed that i was leaving. like for good. i told i would never leave without my little hammie or kaylee. i don't think she believed me, she's super clingy even more so than being just sick clingy.

4. i had to delete some "friends" off my facebook page. {i could of deleted more} i really didn't know who they were or talked to them much. i just know they went to my school. i think they confused me with my sister or they knew my brothers.

5. i forgot to celebrate but on october 10th it was my 33rd year of living in the united states. i think i was nationalized in the 3rd grade?? i remember going to a big court house with other people from different races and i had to say the pledge of allegiance, i got a certificate and a paper flower to wear.

6. i do wonder how my life would of turned out if i hadn't been adopted. where would i be? who would i be? would i even be alive?

7. i wish i had some white cake with white frosting right now. yum! or a bakery inside my house would be nice.

8. i haven't touched the halloween candy i bought. i like them but i've become a candy snob and LOVE ghirardelli, lindt and godiva. much creamier and smoother tasting than hersheys.

9. being held captive inside my own house makes for a long day.

10. going to attempt in giving kaylee a bath today. last night she said she is NEVER taking a bath or shower again.

1. i'm doing this to my pumpkins next year. so sweet. via kiss the groom

2. kaylee is still sick with slight fever. grateful that she only has cold-like symptoms. i do not do well with throw-up or the crap that comes out of the other end. {tee hee}

3. feel kinda rested. just woke up, again. wishing ham could get himself up at times like these. ah well- part of my stay at home job.

4. decide to keep my new crate+barrel plates for company/me only use. had company over for lunch friday, mike does the dishes friday evening. i put away said dishes only to find two of them chipped. two! he then tries to pass the blame onto me.

5. to his credit he did say that i could go ahead and paint my bathroom cabinets. he said he can't win fighting city hall.

6. really fighting the urge to buy curtains +clip photo frames from our local shops. waiting for my trip to ikea but would love to get these off my list. my "headboard" idea is from here except with less photos.

7. would love to be eating really GOOD chinese food or pizza right now. {since i can't taste food, anything with tons of flavor sounds good at all times!}

8. i did manage to go to target and pier 1 yesterday. {kaylee was sleeping} wendy, you were right! pier 1 has tons of cute christmas stuff and i got a kick out of your idea to hock all of our left over halloween candy for bail for ham. {haven't had to do that...yet}

9. i know i say this every time a month comes to an end but 2009 is flying by. i'm sure my thoughts will change once i get stuck inside. i plan on getting all my hibernating kit together before this happens. {ie: stuff for all the projects i would love to get done/started}

10. a few weeks ago nana {mike's mom} called kaylee and asked her what she wanted for christmas. then nana tells her to ask ham what he wanted and kaylee replies, "he wants a new car." nana says how about something smaller. kaylee replies without missing a beat, "he wants a smaller car." it was too cute and boy was she looking after her brother.
