a few outfits for the cruise

1. that by this time tomorrow i will be on my way for my birthday cruise.  [i'm going to party like a rock star!]

2. that some of my too small tops fit again.

3. mike. for being such a supportive husband.

4. friends who are willing to help out whenever you text them silly questions.

5. friends who knit you a scarf from a design you sent them while they're on vacation. 

6. that one of ham's friend's called to thank me for sending him baby clothes for his cute little boy.

7. neighbors willing to help out when i'm away.

8. water for elephants- the movie. finally caught it last night and it was almost as good as the book.

9. even though i didn't find any comfy shoes yesterday,  i did find a cute dress at forever 21. [mine comes with a ribbon belt and was surprised that mike liked it. its under that black slip in the photo above]

1. i love walking kaylee to school every morning. rain or shine. its just beautiful especially with all the very old and very tall trees.

2. jealous of one of my neighbor's magnolia tree. it has so many flowers blooming. [mine has one and its at the very top]

3. i'm taking a break from exercising. i'm in pain. like the kind that keeps you awake at night type pain. grrr.

4. i wanted to look like this when i turned the big 4 oh.  now my goal is to get in that type of shape before the big 4one.

5. kaylee's asked me if any of her friend's would come to visit. i told her one of her friend's might since they have a [crazy] aunt who lives nearby. [at least that's what i've been told about the aunt]

6. getting ready to cut the cord and ship ham off to "intern" with his bachelor uncle up in chicago for a month or so. [seriously, i couldn't be happier. he needs to be productive!]

7. i watched remember me the other day. the ending was not what i was expecting!

8. i caught the beginning of water for elephants but kaylee wasn't interested and i haven't been able to catch it back on.  the book is awesome if you haven't read it yet.

9. and i'm super happy for my favorite tv couple- they're having a baby!

10. and speaking of babies. i love how the blogging community comes together for a great cause like the one at under the sycamore.  man i wish i could adopt one of those babies!

new blog?

little nugget after a water ride

six flags, san antonio

1. i wanted to start a new blog because i like change?

2. plus this was a lot faster than going back through the old stuff and editing anything out that might be offensive to anyone reading this besides my 2 regular readers.

3. so while this will be a personal blog, it will be semi- edited. i need to learn to be nice anyway.

4. trying to get the house cleaned and a few dinners frozen for the family while i'm gone.

5. found another new mexican restaurant sunday. oh boy- it is now our new favorite!

6. kaylee had a great time at one of her classmates birthday party saturday.

7. i asked her if she was sure she wanted to go. she said " i have nothing else to do so why not?" 

8. awhile back we got the best router best buy had to offer. it still couldn't handle the 5600 sq. feet so the computer is now in the kitchen.

9. but it means faster logging in and uploading photos.

10. so i can get on with my busy life. [sarcasm though i do have bills to pay and house to clean]

4. the house when it smells yummy instead of dog, stinky feet and farts.

5. that i'm going to be an aggie! [i'm going to sign up for the aggie mom's club]

6. awesome birthday surprise in the mail last saturday from a very generous, funny and wonderful friend.

7. watching ollie growl, bark, whine and "run" while sleeping.

8. that we're almost done getting ham into college. [man there's a lot of stages involved]

9. that kaylee and ham start school on the same day. [august 27th!]

10. there's only 1 more week till my cruise!

a little video, headaches and sales

1. i found this little video yesterday. she doesn't know its on here so don't tell her.

2. did get a little cleaning done yesterday then the headache really kicked me in the forehead and had to lay down for a bit.

3. also got to pick up my rover and drive back home during traffic hour.

4. so we ate mexican for dinner. not a wise choice if exercising the next morning.

5. and this morning i went grocery shopping.

6. afterwards treated myself to my free birthday starbucks. got the largest strawberry frappie with soy and whip. [they sent me a free drink card every year]

7. oh! i also got photoshop elements 10 for half off last night. it was a one day sale.

8. i'm getting ready for my cruise. not sure if i'm ready for my companion...[my sister]

9. i tried to upload my favorite song at the moment yesterday but i couldn't make it happen so here it is. [i like this band singing it too. the parody's are funny]

10. still loving these camera bags. have one in a shopping cart at a on-line shop. debating on ordering since they're so expensive though i could use it as a purse so it would be a twofer!

over the weekend

1. today feels like a monday. tired with a sleep deprived headache and my car is back in the shop for some new rotors.

2. and of course the house needs a good cleaning. [the kitchen sink looks like it puked again]

3. yesterday we were out the door by 7am so we could see mike's office. he had a conference call at 8:00.

4. we also took over homemade lasagna and brownies to welcome one of the guys that use to work for him back in indiana who is now working for him here. [i went house hunting for them]

5. saturday, we ate dinner with another guy who works for him and his wife. then mike and i went and watched a movie- American Pie Reunion. funny movie.

6. friday, the family drove up to college station for an "advising day".  got ham's classes in order so when registration opens- he's all set to go.

7. i love his advisor. funny yet direct. told ham its all about the gpA'S!

8. we got a little stressed when we checked out these apartments on a whim.  over $10,000 for 10 months. it includes unlimited food, house cleaner and many extra's.

9. then we researched a little more once we got home and applied here.  same things but 12 month lease, no meal plan or house cleaner but about $4000 cheaper.

10. and we plan on him taking a few courses over the summer so the 12 month lease is perfect. or i can go live here for the other 2 months as a vacation...

blogger sucks again, easter and my 40th day

1. friday + saturday kaylee and i made bunny cake balls. of course she had to have some pooping.

2. we shared some with our neighbors.

3. sunday there was an easter egg hunt and the easter bunny left kaylee a note since she left him/her one.

4. and the kids got their easter baskets.  ham told me to tell the easter bunny just to fill his with beef jerky, nothing else.

5. tuesday was my 40th birthday.

6. i don't feel old. i feel like i'm in my 20's maybe even better.

7.  when i turned on the lights in the kitchen to make kaylee breakfast i found lots of flowers.

8. then got another surprise soon after. mike left me a note saying i had a hair and mani/pedi appointment at 10am.  sure beats what i had planned for the day- exercising and cleaning.

9. then got another surprise. the ups box that i thought was for ham was really for me. depends undergarments from my very funny friend, michelle, welcoming me to the old age club.


10. ended the great day with dinner at the cheesecake factory and a slice of reeses peanut butter cake cheesecake. kaylee and i shared it and ham had his own strawberry cheesecake.

this is what happens when i decide not be photo stingy. it took blogger 9 minutes to upload 3 photos!!  these were taken 2 weekends ago.         

mike actually got ham to play basketball over at kaylee's school. [ham got beat in "skate" a few times]

on nanny's last day visiting us, kaylee told me it would okay for me to cut her hair so i did. i went too short but she still loves it.  i love seeing her in short pigtails and she's got plenty of time for long hair.                     

                                 it was pretty hot out but ollie didn't seem to mind. he loves being outdoors.

this morning i had a check-up at the eye doctor.  everythings looking good but still need to do my steroid drops for a week then onto some maintence till allergy seasons over.  afterwards i went to world market to get mike his kona beer. they didn't have any in stock but i still managed to spend 100 bucks!  i did buy 4 bottles of moscato wine that they use to serve at olive garden. its the best stuff ever!

1.  the kids wished i had gotten a bulldog so they could teach him tricks. [ham's been watching youtube videos]

2. i looked for a bulldog but all the ones i inquired about were all scams.

3. ollie does know how to sit and shake paws.

4. he got to play with his girlfriend last night. i was going to post photos but my camera battery is dead.

5. i was hoping that his girlfriend's mom would be able to watch him while we were in indiana but she's going to be gone during one of those weeks.

6. not much else is going on besides the usual.

7. did go and buy some baby clothes for one of ham's friends baby and some easter stuff to put in kaylee's basket.

8. also famous uncle eddie is coming to town thursday and friday.

9. i finally bit the bullet and ordered this book.  hope to take awesome photos of my cruise at the end of the month.

10. i also ordered this cute print from this cute shop from this cute girl.

weekend

six flags; san antonio; big swings

1. sorry there's no photo but either blogger or my wi-fi really sucks. [i think its the wi-fi]

2. after our run last friday, mike and i went shopping. got a new router so i could get better wi-fi and a speaker so we can listen to our ipad/ iphones while outside.

3. then got mike some running shoes. and shorts. and different colored v-neck t-shirts.

4. friday evening mike and i went on a date. dinner at pf changs and saw the hunger games. [the movie was okay but the books are much better]

5. saturday and sunday was spent getting our texas tans on.

6. my back got a little red and ham finally got to push me into the pool. so not cool.

7. yesterday i went to a store called natural paws and got ollie some in between bath spray.  the stuff from petco makes him smell grody.  like wet dog and baby powder. also got his girlfriend a cookie shaped like a donut.

8. his girlfriend gave him part of a raw hide made just for little dogs like them. he's been chewing on it ever since we got home.

9. i was just thinking that in 7 days i will be 40 and it doesn't bother me.

10. but i do wish what i know now, i knew back then.
