itchy eyes, my wingman and fraud

1. this is rare but i actually like this photo of me. 

2. back to the eye doctor today. yesterday my eyes were so red ham told me i look kinda creepy plus they itch like a son of a gun.

3. i also ended up walking/running 3 miles with mike. he's my wingman.

4. i think i'm going to bump it up to 4 miles even though i can't run 3 without some walking.  

5. i have set myself 3 goals- one by my birthday, one by the time i go on my cruise and for when we return to indiana.

6. i have some competition now that both of my sister in laws are working out.

7. i ended up returning a top but bought another one from j.jill. got to love that store- i  ended up buying a petite extra small![the sales lady said their clothes tend to run on the big side which i think all stores should do]

8. i had a message waiting for me when i got home.  i called back with intentions that they had the wrong number.

9. good thing i called back because someone used ham's name but my credit card number to buy $300 kate spade shoes!

10.  so glad for excellent customer service! [this is twice now that i've had to close an account since moving to texas]

oops!

riding the boomerang at 6 flags

1. i know one person notice but i accidentally had this blog on a block. [not that you were missing anything]

2. still deciding on what i want to do with it and finding a cheap blog designer ain't easy.

3. my parents came for a short visit in their rv. 

4. us girls went shopping while the boys, minus ham, went golfing. [it was way too early for ham]

5. now i'm on way out to exchange a few of the items i bought.

6. found that i like eddie bauer shorts.  still low waisted but long enough that i'm not wearing hoochie shorts.

7. i've also been walking/running 3 miles almost every day.  today is take a break day.  my shins are thanking me!

8. finally decided that we will be in indiana the first 2 weeks of july. we're going to drive since it will cost less vs. flight + car rental.

9. the kids started going into the pool on monday.  the waters a cool 76-78 degrees. 

10. we bought a few solar cover disks but need about 6 more to actually have it help heat up the pool. 

funny hat's [spring break part 2]

dick's last resort

1. once we got into san antonio we walked around, ate lunch and showed ham the alamo.

2. kaylee, mike and patty went back to the hotel so kaylee could swim.

3. while ham and i went to shopping for a swim suit. he ended up not wearing it once he saw all the little kids in the pool.

5. then we went for a boat tour so ham could see all of the river walk. [we were hoping to see the trees all lit up but they didn't do it]

6. the last time we visited san antonio i saw people wearing these funny hats with funny-crude things written on them so i suggested we go there to eat.

7. everyone was kinda tired, very hungry and one of those "ready to call it a night" moods.

8. our waiter called kaylee a booger eater then came back with her hat. we ALL had to laugh at that one! and she was a good sport about it.

10. i'm glad we ate there, the food was yummy and we had a great time reading everyone's hats. [the waiter got the table behind us pretty good]

spring break recap [part 1]

my mil and ham who likes to make funny faces

1. we went to san antonio for two days and stayed at the omni la mansion.

2. saying kaylee LOVED the water rides at six flags is a major understatement. she came off screaming " that was awesome! i want to ride it again!" 

3. we also call her crazy kaylee because she rode the boomerang. [that might be the extent of her roller coaster riding because of her size and because she felt wheezy for a bit afterwards]

4. i did not have to fix lunch or dinner except for one day the whole week.

5. or clean the house.

6. we went to ikea and mike lost the car key. not the whole set of keys, just the one for the car. luckily, someone turned it in to lost and found.

7. also got to hear nana fart. [i've known her for 13 years and never heard her fart]

8. we also went to lowes and got mike a grill for his birthday. we're getting nana a firepit for her birthday once we visit indiana in june/july.

9. the weather was nice all week, could of been sunnier and warmer but we're not complaining.

10. kaylee got a new bike from nanny. i told nanny she doesn't really need one and kaylee whispered to nanny "she's just kidding!"

1. that ollie is finally getting a proper grooming. his bangs are down to his nose!

2. that spring break starts at 3:00 today. [that's 4:00 for you indiana people]

3. that the weather is going to be in the low 80's mon-wed. 

4.that mike fixed the dishwasher. [i accidently turned off the switch-duh!]

5. that schlotzsky's turkey bacon club is whats for lunch [kaylee gets their cheese pizza]

6.  finding yummy recipes via pinterest. [next time i'm doubling the dressing and leaving out the spinach, the kids picked out every piece of spinach]

7. that mike will drink anything. made a banana mudslide and hated it because of the coffee flavor, mike drank the whole blender.

its almost friday!

the riverwalk; san antonio

1. since next week is spring break and mike's mom is coming to town, we booked an over night stay in san antonio.

2. ham is even coming with us!

3. funny how things can be perceived via the internet. remember my #10 comment from yesterday's post? well his wife wrote "yeah honey, why did you delete miss know everything's comment?" WOW- so not my intentions. just wanted the blame to be placed correctly. 

4. her comment was deleted later, not sure by who but i think her husband knew i wasn't trying to be a know it all.

5. oh and believe me, i hate the gas prices but the people in the oil business do get nice benefits from it!

6. so i met up with a mom's group at starbucks. it ended up being just one other mom. 

7. then i went to the buckle and found 4 pairs of shorts. well, 2 shorts and 2 shpants.

8. and then to anthropologie and got some mini perfume. [stella and florence.  i also love this shirt]

9. kaylee has had her hand sanitizer and case stolen off of her backpack twice now. the last time we even wrote her name on everything! you would think the parent would make their kid return it.

10. found a new recipe to try tonight via pinterest. will let you know how it turns out.

don't mess with me

1. i haven't bought any of these since the last time but thought the photo looked pretty cool.

2. i almost bought a box a week or so ago but saw the expiration date and put them back. such will power i know.

3. i didn't got for my 3 mile walk today. giving my legs a break. getting old really sucks!

4.  3 blogs i read are all moving into new houses. [1, 2. 3]

5.  i made an enchilada bake that didn't taste very mexican. guess that's what happens when you use provolone and mozzarella cheese because you're out of mexican or any sort of cheddar cheese.

6. i've been searching for paint colors so we can get ham + kaylee's bathrooms and the guest room redone. mike says go beige. i say you mean boring beige.

7. so i went to making it lovely to get color ideas. loving the swiss coffee at the moment.

8. man i'm having brain fart moments on what to make for dinners lately.

9. i think we need to get a grill asap!

10. a guy on my facebook was complaining and blaming the gas price on the oil spill, court cases and lawyers fees so i had to set him straight. then he posted this. it says exactly what i was telling him, the gas prices go up because of the greedy people on wall street.

back to normal

pesky dog who needs a haircut

1. this morning ollie was naughty. he was nipping at my leg and he's been barking non stop.

2. i went to look for a baby gate to keep him inside the backyard. his hefty 5 lb body can squeeze through the gate slates and of course the one that works is $100!

3. we're having a hard time deciding what we want to "remodel". first it was the pool deck area but its too pricy, then it was getting hard wood floors and now mike has suggested we get the rest of the house painted.

4. i went to the eye doctor yesterday instead of today. my eye is all cleared up but has new spots now because its allergy season. 2 more weeks of medication drops.

5. kaylee went back to school today- YAY!

6.  while walking my 3 miles today, i was wishing it was up diamond head instead though i can't complain too much- my view around here is beautiful just not hawaii beautiful.

7. one of mike's buddies from laporte asked him if there was job opening for him here. there is!

8. i need shorts. and a tan. and new knees while i'm at it. these shpants as mike calls them are too hot for this weather.

9. i also need to clean house but think i will procrastinate till friday. the day before my mil comes to town.

10. debating on canceling meeting my mom's group at starbucks tomorrow to go shopping. remember -i need shorts.

2. and mike took the day off of work, which he never does, because his tummy is upset too.

3. and ham has a sore shoulder. from what, we don't know because he doesn't do anything.

4. and my eyes are still red but less itchy. i have an eye doctor appointment tomorrow.

5. and the weekend was still good besides all the aches and pains thats going on.

6. and the weathers been gorgeous and we got to eat outside for lunch.

7. and we bought some flowers for the yard that were on sale at lowes.

8. and ollie got a girlfriend. they ran outside chasing each other and puppy wrestled. so cute!

9. and only 4 more days till spring break.

10. and i got my sister to go on a birthday cruise with me at the end of april.

1. my old neighbor wants photos of our house but i'm still waiting for it to be just the way i want it which means she could be waiting forever.

2. we want to change the tile thats far back in the photo to wood floors.

3. i'm searching for a colorful art work for the family room [along with the front entry] to go right next to that awesome recycled magazine mirror that my awesome friend michelle got me.

4. i tried to win one of these cool signs from this giveaway with my quote no dumping. i wanted a colorful, fancy {and funny] sign to place behind the guest bathroom door for people to read once they sat down.

5. speaking of bathrooms, kaylee is home with a gurgley belly and a very sore butt. she's blowing up the toilet!

6. and i've got very red and very itchy eyes. not fun i tell you!

7. to continue with the no fun, i'm cleaning house and doing laundry. the house smells like dog.

8. plus my mom and dad will be visiting sometime in the near future. my craft room will be DONE before they visit.

9. and speaking of dog, ollie can sit and shake hands.

10. yesterday i meet up with a few moms from my mom's group for the mommy matinee. i was the only one without a kid which didn't bother me.
