surgery

patty {mil} went into surgery this morning up in chicago. mike left early this morning so he could be there with her and his dad. she had to get some cancer removed from her neck. pretty scary. everything went well and mike said that they kept them up to date on a regular basis. he said that his mom said that she doesn't feel any pain at this time so that's a relief.

reminds me of when ham had to go in for his minor surgery. it was at riverpointe and he was admitted as an outpatient which means that it wouldn't take long and he should recover fairly easily. i remember seeing him in his gown and head gear, he was about 10 years old but in my mind he seems so much smaller. i remember him walking away after we said our "byes" headed towards surgery with one of the nurses. shes talking to him and he smiles while lifting his gown. i could tell that he was nervous and so was i but i had to put on a good front. the surgery went well and everything else went well too. had a little something that we needed to fix but its all good now.

so being that i am house bound since the husband went up to chicago with the car and i'm waiting for kaylee's mattress to be delivered, i decided to sew kaylee some new curtains for her bedroom. i really want to make her the ones from pottery barn kids but i will wait till we move into the new house. i even recovered the body pillow in the same fabric to match her room.

look what i did!! i added some pics of kaylee's now finished room. the only thing left is a bedskirt. yeah!!!

i did get alot done today which i am soo proud of myself for. i cleaned the upstairs bathroom and shower. i made cinnamon muffins for breakfast, i burned them but at least i made something and i made some lunch. i did some sewing. i might actually be out of my funk. might be.
