feeling behind so i think i'll blog

1. our neighbors went to disneyworld over spring break.  they even stayed at the same place we're going to be staying in june!

2. they were sweet enough to bring kaylee this t-shirt in exchange for watching their dog.

3. i feel so behind today. there's so much that i need to get done (bathrooms cleaned, floors swept, dusting!, dishes washed and put away, clothes folded and put away...)  but feel so overwhelmed with it all. why oh why can't i be one of those people who as their shit together?

4. i get this way because i have so much time on my hands that i am able to get everything done. i would rather procrastinate instead.

5. the steam mop came in yesterday. after writing this post i'm going to try it on the shower tiles!
i'm kinda excited about it right now.

6. tuesday, i got invited to a pampered chef party by one of kaylee's friend's mom. i invited my neighbor/friend to come along.

7. i ended up winning every game that was played but after my second prize i had them pick other people.

8. its raining today but i don't mind. its warm, 70 degrees.

9. i went to costco for more food this morning and ended up getting 2 sets of callaway umbrellas.  they were cheap- under 20 bucks for 2 and they're huge! kaylee and i will be able to fit under 1 umbrella easily.

10. ham's coming home tonight hence all the food shopping. he needs his freezer to be restocked so tonight i'm making salmon and tilipia. tomorrow we'll grill a few pounds of chicken and steak.

keeping the economy going

1. after going to trader joes for more cookie butter this morning, i went next door to nothing bundt cakes. big mistake! huge!

2. because not only did i walk out with a single serving size of carrot cake but also with a dozen of these mini ones. [the carrot cake was quickly devoured after eating left over salad. its all about the balance and no one knows but me and you so it never happened]

3. kaylee had a friend spend the night friday. we went to the alamo draft house and watched muppets most wanted. we also ate at the theatre which i do not recommend-way too expensive!

4. saturday was watch mike mulch the yard day. it looks so much better.

5. sunday we headed to ikea for another fiddle fig plant and a bistro set for the breezeway. what i had in there before was too bulky.

6. then we headed to the yard house for a late lunch. i ended up getting the biggest turkey pot pie ever seen! it was delish!

7. of course i had to stop into anthropology and found a cute top on sale which i wore yesterday and felt really cute in it. getting my hair done also helped with the cuteness factor.

8. one day last week, i decided to turn in all my gift cards i had sitting around. everything pretty much came in yesterday so my doorbell was ringing like it was christmas or something.

9. i'm still waiting for my much needed haan steam mop which should be here today.  if you sign up for their emails, they will give you $20 off which makes it the cheapest i've seen.

10. also waiting for my erin condren goodies. they had given me a $25.00 gift card for being a repeat customer. got $25 off my order and a free t-shirt. not too shabby.

Few things we did on Spring Break

1. got her haircut last night. 10" to donate to locks of love. she says she will do it again.

2. celebrated mike's and nanny's birthdays. (ham renamed nanny to ba-nanny because she was eating a banana at the time)

3. ham made a funny after birthday dinner. it said award winning patio on laundry's building and so he said award winning patty-o since that is nanny's name.

4. ate lots of good food- sharky's, lupe tortilla, bj's brewhouse, some home cooking, landry's, dicks last resort, cracker barrel.

5. went to san antonio to view the caves, river walk, stay at an over priced, dirty hotel and sea world.

6. tie dyed shirts.

7. got sun burned.

8. slept in.

9. went to buc-ee's twice. (had to get gas to and from san antonio)

10. bought mike a big texas belt buckle that he's been wanting for his birthday.

i'm watching their show again. i forgot how much i love them and what good role models they are- to everyone.

1. so thats our poor palm tree from our at freezing temps on tuesday.

2. and the new buffet in the breakfast knook area.

3. i dropped a jar of honey on the driveway. words out of my mouth- "damn, that sucks!"

4. one more day till spring break!

5. 2 days till nanny gets here then its nanny time!

6. i told ham that we're going to hawaii next year. he said he's not going because he's going to be on his own spring break.

7. so now i'm seriously debating on leaving kaylee home too. (we'll get nanny to fly down to watch her)

8. i also talked to our realtor. she said we could probably get $50,000 more from our house if we decided to sell right now. thats just how good the market is around here.

9. so i'm looking for houses though it would be kinda hard to move now.

10. but it would be so much nicer to be a little closer to mike's work, downtown/galleria area and easier to get to the beach.

1. especially on a super cold and rainy day! (we have icicles hanging on palm trees again)

2. and i'm geeking out because next spring break thats where we're going!

3. its a timeshare pitch but it don't matter. its hawaii!

4. and we have some fun things planned for spring break.

5. sea world in san antonio and maybe some caving while there. (depending on this crazy weather!)

6. i'm tired and a nap sounds good about now. i didn't sleep very well and had a bad dream about my mom.

7. i also had someone stop me in the "women's" section yesterday to ask if i was from the philippines.

8. hardly ever does someone ask if i'm korean. most of the time they just ask where i'm from.

9.  it made me wonder where exactly is my original family from. i must be a mix of them all or something.

10. some day i will find out.

too cha cha for words (my shoes)

1. i ran errands today. i was going to go jcpenneys and get some unmentionables but forgot my coupon. i normally don't shop at penneys but they're having a sale plus the coupon.

2. so i went to target and mostly got food. then to world market and got a cast iron pan since i had a $10 coupon. then to costco for shampoo, conditioner and aveeno body lotion. [much cheaper than target]

3. i also got new shoes. under 20 bucks at marshalls in the kids section.

3. too bad its not warm enough to wear them. right now its 37 degrees.

4. anyone else find the oscars to be boring last night? ellen was funny. and i was hoping U2 and pink would rock out but instead they sang slow songs.

5. and as i sit here typing up this post, i realize just how unorganized i am.

6. after jumping on the filofax bandwagon, i'm not sure how to use them yet so even that is unorganized. should of stuck with what was working.

7. i finally got ham's room painted though the benjamin moore paint i bought isn't "sticking" to the doors and trim so i'm going to have to do a second coat. UGGG! hate repeating!

8. only 4 more days till spring break. whoop!

9. though not ready for everyone to be home with me for a whole week.

10. might need to go and get some more chocolate for my secret stash.
