back to normal

a birthday present (fathead.com)

1. this guy finally went back to college. he had a whole stink'n month off!

2.  forgot to mention we celebrated this guy turning 22 in my last post.  TWENTY- TWO! how is that even possible since i'm only 29? ha!

3. so today we are back to normal. kaylee went to school. mike went to work and i went to target. (to pick up toiletries for mike to take off shore)

4. the house is a mess and i have a sink full of dishes that needs to be done. 

5. so to keep up with the normal i went shopping. 

6. after target, went to surlatable but didn't find anything. then went to francesca's and found a cute skirt in a size SMALL.  haven't seen that size in a few years. yeah for plexus and bootcamp!

7. speaking of bootcamp. we did a different baseline yesterday and i was the fastest! (they changed the 400M run to a 500M row and 10 pull-ups/rings instead of burpees)

8. looking for some cute stuff to decorate the new house with even though not having a new house makes it kinda difficult.

9. but i've been stalking following my new girl crush (@browneyedfox) on instagram and want to decorate my house like hers. LOVE her style.

10. in the meantime, i've been decluttering and got the pantry all cleaned out.  nothing goes back in that won't get eaten or used quickly.  also been fluttering around each room and getting rid of stuff i don't want to move. (my neighbor said thats what her husband says she does-nothing but flutters around the house)

1. this week i've been a little grumpy. my prescription to flonase ran out back in april and i'm trying to get by without it and all its done is give me a big fat headache,  nausea and makes my nose and eyes itchy = a very grumpy mom.

2. and since i wasn't feeling well, mike made dinner tuesday night. like thai beef curry with garlic noodles.  kaylee's the only one who actually ate it.

3. and i'm still waiting for my weight loss/health supplements (should be here saturday?) because its suppose to make me healthy inside out. 

4. i'm also waiting for my new camera bag that i ordered on the 12th but whenever i call the company i get some sort of excuse. its supposedly shipped yesterday/today. said last week too.

5. we got new home owners insurance. the last company raised our prices for the last 2 years and this time we noticed because it about doubled!

6. so someone from the new insurance is coming out for an inspection today. i've got dirty dishes in the sink and clean clothes all over my bedroom and guess what. i don't care if she sees it!

7. i did clean bathrooms and swept floors yesterday.

8. have i mentioned my new girl crush/favorite hgtv show? (though i get jealous watching these home change into something beautiful)

9. not that my house isn't beautiful but it needs updating like hard core.

10. one more week of school for little nugget while ham goes back this weekend for his one summer class.

1. because i signed up to receive tommy bahama emails, they sent me another $50 gift certificate to spend on a $100 purchase for mother's day. [the first one was for my birthday]

2. i had a shirt in the cart till i saw this awesome punch bowl. [i also got a cool aloha sign to add up to $100.]

3. i'm going to keep it on my counter with fruit when its not being used as a punch bowl.

4. i decided to be adventurous and doing a girls trip this weekend. [kaylee and i]

5. so ham and mike will be left to fend for themselves. hee hee

6. ham is finished with school and it sounds like he didn't do so well in on his finals. which stinks because he did well in his a+m classes. [blinn classes were harder or as he would say the teachers sucked more]

7. i decided to step down from being school store chair person and from school store for the following school year.

8. i'm needing a change of scenery and would love to help a teacher or maybe do lunch duty.

9. i've been craving marshmallow chocolate peeps lately and today i found these.  i haven't been able to find them till today. the last time i had one was back in indiana.

10. i also have a girl crush. i LOVE her bathroom and if we stay in our current house, i want to do ham's bathroom the exact same way. or would that be too weird? too late- i've already started to copy some of her stuff.

i'm watching their show again. i forgot how much i love them and what good role models they are- to everyone. 

wsww + i love bunnies

this is my take on what i wore wednesday from the pleated poppy. since she wears cuter outfits i post what she wore wednesdays. i'm also in my pj's at the moment.

1. last week it was a bit chilly hence the indoor photos.

2. friday, we both wore our eddy and rambo t-shirts. get them here and its for a great cause! she donates all proceeds to the animal/adoption shelter [mine, hers]

3. i happened to find eddy and rambo on instagram [they are also on Facebook] and started following them instantly.  sadly, rambo recently passed away.  they were able to adopt a new bunny named marbles. eddy needed a friend.

4. maybe once we no longer have a dog and i have no kids at home, i will get a bunny.

5. i stayed way too late last night paying bills.

6. so today is a stay home and clean day. and get groceries. we have no bread.

7.  i would like to finish painting ham's room but for some reason i feel like i can't paint unless the house is clean. its a vicious cycle.

8. i also need to get ready for kaylee's disney channel cloud 9 movie party on friday.

9. and my crazy sister and her family are coming to visit for the weekend since the kids have no school on monday.

10. and something else totally not relating to this post- i have a girl crush on little red moose.  her photos and filofax planning is just so beautiful!

this and that

sunset; tuesday

1. the sunset was gorgeous the other night. lots of pinks, oranges and blues.

2. i'm feeling a little sad tonight. mike had a bad day at work which is really rare and we're taking ham to college station tomorrow and kaylee starts school on monday.

3. my summer routine is coming to an end.

4. i know i will get use to school routine but its always a little sad when something ends.

5. kaylee had a friend spend the night. aneesa ended up staying till 4:30 today. she didn't want to go home.

6. they made videos on the ipad, they played they were going on cruise, they played school, we had breakfast for dinner and mcdonalds for lunch, they made beaded bracelets and watched tv and teen beach movie, they danced and one of them got married to a stuffed giraffe. they had a great time.

7. tomorrow we get to meet kaylee's teacher. i hope its someone she loves so she will love going to school. [at the moment she says she doesn't like school. not sure if its because thats what ham says]

8. kaylee and i watched rise of the guardian tonight. we both loved it.

9. i'm trying a pinterest rememdy of vinegar then add baking soda to pet stains. ollie barfed a little the other night. it says it will get out old stains too so we will see and i'll report back.

10. i have another girl crush. her blog makes  me happy because its all bright and happy.
