wsww + i love bunnies

this is my take on what i wore wednesday from the pleated poppy. since she wears cuter outfits i post what she wore wednesdays. i'm also in my pj's at the moment.

1. last week it was a bit chilly hence the indoor photos.

2. friday, we both wore our eddy and rambo t-shirts. get them here and its for a great cause! she donates all proceeds to the animal/adoption shelter [mine, hers]

3. i happened to find eddy and rambo on instagram [they are also on Facebook] and started following them instantly.  sadly, rambo recently passed away.  they were able to adopt a new bunny named marbles. eddy needed a friend.

4. maybe once we no longer have a dog and i have no kids at home, i will get a bunny.

5. i stayed way too late last night paying bills.

6. so today is a stay home and clean day. and get groceries. we have no bread.

7.  i would like to finish painting ham's room but for some reason i feel like i can't paint unless the house is clean. its a vicious cycle.

8. i also need to get ready for kaylee's disney channel cloud 9 movie party on friday.

9. and my crazy sister and her family are coming to visit for the weekend since the kids have no school on monday.

10. and something else totally not relating to this post- i have a girl crush on little red moose.  her photos and filofax planning is just so beautiful!

confetti of color

making a leaf angel : november 20, 2013

1. kaylee and our neighbor friend played in our leaves after school last week.

2. our yard was the only one with leaves on it [still is] but i don't mind. its a confetti of color.

3. the weekend was strangely long and boring. i think its the cold, rainy temps. [high in the 40's]

4. saturday was a fun day. mike suggested at 10:15am we go and watch catching fire at 10:45am.

5. glad i had just finished showering and was dressed.  the movie was awesome btw.

6. afterwards, we grabbed lunch to take home so mike could watch the aggies get beat by lsu.

7. i went to the grocery store so i could make a home cooked meal before he went back to his apartment. 

8. i also made 2 small devil's food bundt cake's. so yummy!  i made the ganache and frosted the cakes then sprinkled powered sugar over it per ham's wise suggestion.

9. ham decided to take back the mac pro and get the mac air because its lighter. just glad he was able to get the one he wanted.

10. kaylee has the whole week off from school. love how the school plans this break. think we might bust out the christmas decorations[because its cold and rainy and we will be bored]  since thanksgiving will be spent over at another neighbor friend's house.

her ode to foxing awesome

1. she loves her converse shoes because they're kinda like ham's.

2. and i've bought her some funky socks to wear, which she loves even if they don't match her outfits.

3. if you can't tell, texas weather is crazy. it starts out cool, then either stays cold or gets super hot.

4. its feeling more like fall this year compared to our 2 previous years.

5. yesterday, i went to clean and organize kaylee's room but made the mistake of laying down for 5 minutes on her bed with her cozy blanket.

6. it ended up being a 30-45 minute nap instead. it was nice.

7. i had a few errands to run up in the woodlands. man is that area busy! it felt like everyone was off for the holidays already.

8. i think i might be done with kaylee's christmas shopping. just need to get her birthday present but waiting for some sort of a sale. 

9. feeling a little overwhelmed with my to-do list: lots of painting, lots of cleaning, getting meals planned for the month and mike wants to throw a garage sale this weekend. of course i'm not ready.

10. man, a nap is sounding really good right now.

 week 11

week 10

1. i'm not sure where i've been. i've been here just not on the blog.

2. week 10 on what she wore wednesday, it rained for a few days if you can't tell.

3. week 11, on tuesday, it was dress in 50's for their 50th day in school.

4. ham finally sold his desktop computer. the one he built himself.

5. so saturday we went to the apple store and got him a laptop for his early birthday present. [he payed for half though the money was probably from his allowance we give him to buy food]

6. kaylee was super upset-like tears in her eyes because he got his birthday present [january] before she got hers. [december]

7. and she called him the golden child of the family. [kids sure are funny!]

8. but i think we got back in her good gracious when we took her to  the children's festival in the woodlands. 

9.  zendaya was going to be there and tickets were only $12.00. can't beat a $12 concert. 

10. we got her a zendaya t-shirt and a photo just in case she got a chance to meet her. [found out they handed out meet and greet wristbands at noon. we didn't get there till around 1pm.]

week 9

1. this is what she wore last week. i forgot to do week 8 since nanny was here.

2. it was another theme week but we remembered when it was thursday and friday. 

3. thursday was wear a team shirt day. she chose her aggie shirt which was fitting since we took her out of school early to visit ham.

4. friday was wear a hat day. she chose my kona brewing company one. makes me miss kona. and hawaii.

5. i had to drive kaylee to school this morning because it was down pouring. i think this was the 2nd or 3rd time in the 2 years we have lived here.

6. i have full intentions on being PRODUCTIVE today but i've been side tracked with a recipe search and bill paying. [we got payed a day early. we get payed on the 15th and end of the month. wish they would make it the friday close too or on that payday]

7. i worked some more on my filofax last night turning it into a wallet and think i got it exactly how i want it to work. 

8. but finding its too small for it to be a planner too which i kinda knew. [trying to justify in getting the malden in ochre in a A5 size]

9. it will still hold a monthly calendar for making appointments and all doctor/emergency type stuff in the back but i want something i can write more detailed things in.

10. especially since we're having problems with home warranty sending people out who don't want to do the work. we've had 4 people come out for the same problem all pointing fingers at someone else.

what she wore wednesday: week 7

1. kaylee really loved her outfit on monday. i got her shoes from oshkosh outlet- cute little mary janes.

2. mike took kaylee to school friday morning since i wasn't feeling well. i did feel better and went to lunch with them so friday's photo is from lunch. her mouth is full of pizza sam-wich.

3. i spent much of yesterday paying bills and setting them up so i just go onto my banks website and pay them all from there. its free and i already pay a few bills from there anyway.

4. i'm also organizing all the paper/receipts that i have just thrown into a file cabinet.

5. i have folders for everything but i'm SO lazy! next year i WILL be better organized!

6. i felt a little down yesterday too. no motivation to put in any effort to do anything.

7.  i did go to the gym. i felt a little sad there too because i have no one to talk too.

8. i haven't talked to any of my "friends" or my family since we last visited in july. i have texted with my parents though.

9. sometimes i wonder what is wrong with me?

10. one republic has become my jam.

what she wore week 6

1. kaylee cracks me up doing the same pose everyday. 

2. yesterday i took armando in for an routine oil change. [i drive a nissan armada but call it armando]

3. the night before i had a dream i couldn't get it to start. then last night i had a dream that black smoke was coming from the engine. [it was suggested that we get a new engine air filter]

4. weird how the brain works incorporating my daily life into my dreams.

5. i still need to finish painting the trim and doors in kaylee's room. plan on getting that done today.

6. after i take back those jeans ham doesn't want. [wish he wasn't so picky sometimes!]

7. ham is still not liking college station. he says its full of rednecks who drive big trucks. 

8. i started going to a different workout class. wish it was during the day rather than the evenings because i have to count on mike being home on time in order for me to go.

9. but i love the class. its called strictly strength. we work with light weights and work all muscles. i feel like i'm getting back some of those muscles i had when i worked out with andre.

10. even though my body ached most days, i sure do miss those personal training sessions.

what she wore wednesday, steam mops and ur here swap

1. last week was theme week at school.  we followed along except for friday since it was school picture day.

2. this is the outfit she picked out of the two that i wanted her to wear for pictures. i think she looks cute and its different.

3. mike was all for it because its a tupac look.

4. today was suppose to be a cleaning day except it hasn't worked out quite that way.

5. i went to target to get a steam mop but they didn't have this one. neither did walmart or kohls. [i don't agree with their con of leaving excess water on the floor, it worked great for me]

6. so after steam mop shopping, i came home to eat lunch and read some blogs so no house cleaning has been done yet.

7. it started to rain, which i love. good napping weather.

8. i'm still working on my urhere mug swap. its much harder when i'm trying to add something crafty.

9. the urhere mugs are the cute ones from starbucks. there's even one from banff! mike said he will take me there one day.

10. wish that one day would come soon!

1. since i missed last wednesdays, what she wore, here's week 3 and 4 for your viewing pleasure.

2. mondays and thursdays i usually pick a dress or skirt since its a no PE day. [yes, she still has me pick out her clothes]

3. over the weekend, kaylee asked if we could go to justice because she wanted to buy something with her own money. she said she had enough money because she looked on-line. man, times are changing!

4. monday we couldn't go because her friend, anessa, came over right after school. her grandma had to take her older sister to an appointment.

5. so we went yesterday after school. she wanted to get a best friend necklace and asked if i wanted the other half. i told her i would but they give me a rash. [she had gotten us a bracelet before]

6. she's so sweet. i told her to give it to a friend so she's going to give it to ashley at recess today.

7. monday i went to pottery barn teens and ordered these red bull dog wearing sunglasses sheets. i love having fun stuff throughout the house. [he had sock monkey sheets for years]

8. of course once i get home and look through my wallet, i found a 10% off coupon for pb teen.

9. i made granite city inspired meatloaf last night. it was good but not as good as granite city's. its funny how i change the name, it becomes edible. meatloaf became meatball casserole.

10. headed for the outlets this morning. school pictures are friday and i have an outfit in mind but just need to find it.

wsww + wednesday

because her outfits are much cuter than mine- here is what she wore wednesday.

1. she got her new dress and top from justice last week as part of her bribe  prizes for sleeping in her room for a whole month by herself!

2. she says she likes it now because she has more room but she does ask that we check on her before bed and in morning for just in case she's covered in blood and guts. i have a feeling she got that from her brother.

3. i may have gotten that exact same shirt lindsey [the pleated poppy] is wearing in her 3rd photo from her post today.

4. yesterday was kinda a blah day, today was much better. i went to michaels and started making this for my swaps but something from this blog to kinda make it my own. nothing like the last minute for inspiration and changing of the mind.

5. i will share finished product soon.

6. i went into bed, bath and beyond today for a mini loaf pan because  i had a 20% off coupon. [its one of those pans that bakes 4 mini loaves at a time] anyway, it smells in there. not bad but its just too much for this sensitive gal and it gave me a headache. one of those where i had to leave the store soon or else i was going to throw up smell.

7. speaking of smells, the husband needs new workout clothes. i just washed his and it still smells AND it stunk up the rest of the clothes i washed them with AND the laundry room!

8. i think some soaking with some oxyclean is in order this weekend.

9. watched duck dynasty tonight. still love that show! it makes me laugh out loud. i love laughing and i love laughing loud!

10. tomorrow is clean house day. i just hope my mind/brain is on the same brain wave.

i've been taking kaylee's outfit photos ever since she started kindergarten. [thats going to be a neat book one day] this is my edition of lindsey's what i wore wednesday post since kaylee obviously wears cuter outfits than me.

1. after zumba yesterday i went to lowes to see if they had anything good and useful on sale/clearance. they didn't. i'm needing a few towel bars for the kids bathrooms. like 6 of them.

2. after that i didn't do much. i didn't feel like doing the dishes so i didn't.

3. i did do a few loads of laundry but haven't folded them yet.

4. and we went out for dinner- buffalo wild wings.

5. then i went and got my favorite author's new book- jane porters, the good wife.  so far its been an awesome read.

6. for the first time ever, i didn't finish it in one night. i was super tired for some reason and went to bed at 11:30.

7. today i'm going shopping for a few of my favorite things since i'm doing a favorite things swap from instagram.

8. mike and i have been looking on-line for houses closer to his work or to the beach.

9. i think we're really going to move after school is over for kaylee. whether it be out of the country or just somewhere closer to his work or beach.

10. since kaylee's not liking school this year, she's been begging for us to move now. she wants to go back to indiana.

[what she wore wednesday]

1. i'm not sure if i'm not liking blogger or picmonkey because one of them is making these photos small even though i have it on x-large.

2. the second outfit is from justice that nanny bought her. i love that kaylee's so easy, she didn't fuss or fight that it needed more sparkles. we liked it so she liked it.

3. friday kaylee told me that one of her classmates said she wore that top the day before. clearly they're different but both are have lace on them.

4. my mil and i couldn't believe someone would make that kind of a comment on an outfit. its like already? they're only in second grade.

5. the husband did the dishes for me last night. [i did clean out the fridge and made "chicken and ducklings" for dinner.]

6. for those new to the blog- chicken and ducklings is a kayleeism for chicken and dumplings.

7. since it was raining most of the afternoon and evening, kaylee and i went out for fivebucks* soy peppermint hot chocolate w/whip. *kristism for starbucks since it usually costs five bucks.

8. ham texted me that he needs new clothes. i told him it would be much easier if he would go to the store so he could try stuff on rather than ordering them on-line.

9. he said dept. stores suck unless its in nyc.

lindsey from the pleated poppy started what i wore wednesday to document her getting dressed everyday. if you're a stay at home mom, you know how hard this can be sometimes.  and since kaylee dresses much better than i do, this is my take- what she wore wednesday. [even though i still pick out her clothes. she doesn't want too]

1. her signature poses again.

2. she said she can't wait to see these and all the videos we took of her when she gets older.

3. not sure if she realizes that i post these on the internet but i'm pretty sure it doesn't bother her.

4. i wish my weight would come off a little faster and easier.

5. guess i should stop looking at pinterest +fashion blogs who wears a size 0-2. 

6. got the 3 allergy panels taken off today. there are some red irritation spots besides whats from the tape itself.

7. i still can't take a proper shower till after the second reading on friday so today i'm going around with unwashed hair.

8. i feel like a rebel- i went into two stores with my unwashed hair. [i did wash it in the tub yesterday]

9. there is a salon here that will wash and dry it for FREE. i'm tempted to go and do this. [but that means putting gas in the car]

10. i watched extremely loud & incredibly close yesterday. i loved the movie even though it was sad.

her outfits the first week of school

the pleated poppy documents her outfits every wednesday and since kaylee dresses way better than me i thought i would do a what she wore instead.

1. we had a rough morning. i really dislike it when my kids act all helpless.

2. so there were tears and yelling but we made up.

3. i went for a little jog again. will this crap ever get any easier?

4. then i went to marshalls/home goods to look for a goose down comforter for ham's new duvet that i was also getting at pottery barn kids.

5. instead i got a jacket and that polka dot cardi that lindsay's wearing on her what i wore wednesday.

6. i love his new duvet cover and have an old quilt to use instead of buying a new one. [duvet covers go over an existing comforter or quilt]

7. ham might be coming home for an overnighter tomorrow. he's picking up his new laptop that he just got in the mail so he can sell it so he can get a macbook air.

8. swear that kid changes his mind more often than most changes their underwears.

9. i finished jane porter's new book - The Good Woman.  I had posted on doing a Jane Porter giveaway but deleted it because no one reads my blog and I didn't want to embarrass Jane or myself.

10. i watched hunger games on demand yesterday. i liked it much better the second time around. i think its because when i saw it at the theatre,mike came with and i was worried he wouldn't like/or get it since he didn't read the book.
