more fun

yesterday afternoon we headed over to hhgregg to look at tv's and appliances. afterwards, we headed over to sofa select to see what they had and how much their stuff was. found them to have the best selections and the best sale. they also had the best customer service. we ended up getting this dining set and this "command center" for mike's man cave. his is all leather though {this was the only pic i could find that came close to what it looks like} and we got it for 55% off regular price. mike was as giddy as high school girl over it.

planning on getting this sectional a little later, after the house has been paid for and if we still have any money left. i'm debating on the charcoal or light taupe color. it has to go with the blue walls because i do not want to paint these walls. i'll post pics of inside the house later to show you why. i also need help in choosing a new kitchen color.

shopping for the new house and we haven't even moved in yet. i just ordered one of these prints in this color for $25.00 for the new house. thought i would hang it in the kids bathroom. via: made by girl

i dont know why

but she was not a good girl for me today. i took her to a new doctor, a pediatrician with hopes that they could make her "fear" of going to a doctor go away but it didn't work. she did let them take her weight and height unlike last year. other than that she made her mad girl face and told me and the doctor that she "didn't want to" get her heartbeat checked, ears, nose or mouth looked at. she squirmed all over the place in my lap while screaming and crying. the most embarrassing part was being told that we will have a hard time once she starts school (seperation from us, the second time i've been told this) and that she needs to see a shrink for being strong willed and that we need to take parenting classes.

christmas 08 part 2

this is what christmas looks like at my folks house. i think my wide angel lens is broken so i had to use what i had and couldnt fit all the presents in. this is what happens when you have 9 grandkids and 8 adults to buy for and when all of us bring over gifts for everyone else. we ate lunch then went to open gifts which takes us a few hours since we wait to see what everyone gets before moving on to the next person.

love this shot of jake +my mom. she got him exactly what he wanted so he jumped up and gave her a big hug telling her he loved her. its moments like these that my mom waits for and why she goes all out.

here's dad rockin' it out in a hanana montana wig. ham made out like a bandit with gift cards galore. what else do you buy a teenager? and kaylee also loved her presents which included a doll house. my parents gave mike and i a homemade gift certificate for x amount of dollars to be used once we move into the new house. we didn't want anything until then so we wont have to move it twice.
