my boring friday night

1. monday we had rehearsal for kaylee's dance recital.

2. tuesday was the dance recital and it was AWESOME! the program ranged from 5 year olds to high school kids and there was a little dancing for everyone.

3. kaylee by far was the cutest on stage and thats not me being biased. i heard the people behind me say so and i didn't even know them!

4. i bought a cd of the program and i hope to take kaylee's photo in her costume this weekend.

5. other than that, i've been procrastinating big time on my to-do list.

6. tonight was a boring night. i was just in one of those moods where i wanted to go do SOMETHING. anything. a weekend away. hell, i would of gone to watch a baseball game.

7. i'm still walking and wishing away the fat. this week i even included a few laps of running in. i'm going to fight my muffin top till the day i board on that plane to hawaii.

8. i have big plans for texas. i plan on joining any/all groups available to me so i can make some "sex and the city" friends. [boy do i love that show]

9. i also plan on having a year round tan and no more muffin top to fight.

10. something i don't understand is why people post that they are NOT home on facebook or am i freakishly paranoid of getting robbed?

if i could get into proper swim suit shape

i would take these to hawaii with me.

what's up?

my inspiration

1. that runner was suppose to start out in "Q" but he budged and started at "K". i didn't tell. he's my hero for just being out there.

2. today was one of those days. i got an email back from my ex. it made me cry even though it didn't say anything.

3. just regrets really. regret that our marriage didn't work, regret that i didn't know how to be married or a wife or a cook, regret that ham had to grow up without a dad. yup. regrets.

4. weekend was just ok. we got teased during the week with sunny, warm weather then friday comes and its cold and rainy.

5. ate dinner at granite city on friday. saturday we hit the dollar movies only to pay an extra $2.50 per person because it was in 3-d. sunday i was lazy while mike got some stuff done around the house.

6. so a date has been given for mike to start his new position but it hasn't been approved by his new boss yet.

7. wouldn't it be something if his new boss says no way- that's too late. what will we do then?!

8. not going to think these thoughts. going to be positive. we're finally getting a chance to move someplace warm. something we've been wanting.

9. i took kaylee out of school early today. she had an appointment- with the ice cream shop! [she had dance rehearsal starting at 4:00 and i didn't want to be late]

10. her dance recital's tomorrow night. her class did awesome at the rehearsal. i think they did the best and i'm not being biased either. well a little.

indy, my parenting skills + other stuff

i look like an orange oompa loompa

1. weekend down in indy was AWESOME! mike didn't run his best but he finished and that's all that matters.

2. it was filled with yummy food, shopping and lots of drinking and laughing. [i forgot how funny my brother can be especially when drinking]

3. we ended the weekend eating lunch at pf. changs before heading home.

4. i didn't buy much, a pair of shoes from h+m and some make-up. you know, stuff that fits no matter what size.

5. i also kicked mike's ass in skee-ball. don't pay attention to him when he says he kicked mine in basketball, air hockey or nascar driving. not everythings about him.

6. this week has been flying by except on a daily basis if that makes any sense. guess being home alone makes me look at the time a lot more.

7. highlight of my week was talking to mom on monday. sometime during the conversation it was brought up on how i parent. i remained calm and said "i'm going to parent the way i want to parent." all of sudden her laundry was calling her.

8. kinda felt like de ja vu. 12 years ago, the day after mother's day she told me to my face that i was a bad mom. *don't worry folks, i took it as a compliment!*

9. next tuesday kaylee has her dance recital. it looks like its going to be a big production including the high school dance club.

10. and for those that don't know yet. we're moving to houston. its still hush-hush but i'm super excited. going to definitely pick a neighborhood full of kids and people who don't mind last minute get together.

1. not at my "huge" ta-tas but at my emersonmade necklace.

2. i think its pretty sweet and i also like my traveling coat i ordered.

3. thrilled that it might even be a little too big for me because i was worried that a size small would be just that- too small. [jacket not in this photo]

4. kaylee is going over to nana's + poppop's for the weekend. they're planning on going to the zoo up in chicago. not sure as to which one yet.

5. on monday my brother who is not a dentist is going to turn 40. we're going to help him celebrate on saturday.

6. i had a busy day planned but then i got smart and split my work load. i had 33 schools to travel too when a lightbulb went off and i decided to mail the fundraiser info.

7. it still took some time because i hate my handwriting so i had to type and print all the addresses then run to the post office. [yeah, my legs were tired- haha! hello? anyone out there? anyone?]

8. jack, pesky cat #2, went over to my sister's house for a sleep over. would it be mean if i said i didn't miss him? would it cancel that mean comment if i said he's still cute??

9. hate it when i find tons of scentsy warmers but no light bulbs to melt the smelly wax with. [must order light bulbs!]

10. kaylee cracked us up tonight at dinner. once again she told mike to "chug it" when he was drinking his beer.

• Fish-shaped crackers (best bet: the kind sold at health-food stores that don't have hydrogenated oils)
• A Real Simple kids' mix: Cheerios, raisins, almonds, pretzels, and chocolate chips

• Raisins or other dried fruits

Refrigerator Snack Station

• Jar of peanut butter (preferably the natural kind, for dipping)
• String cheese
• Yogurt
• Grapes
• Assorted crudités—baby-cut carrots, celery sticks, pepper slices—in plastic bags
• Orange segments
• Lunch-meat roll-ups (like turkey-and-Swiss or ham-and-Cheddar)
• Tub of hummus (for dipping)

1. how rad are these grab and go snack ideas from real simple?

2. i bought almond peanut butter. i don't like it and i spent way too much money on it to throw it away.

3. fyi: teenage boys are really grouchy.

4. today i failed on my 30 day get into graduation/hawaii shape but i like to think of it as a "resting" day.

5. i even had taco bell for lunch, first in a loooong time. i know. the horror! fyi: one of these + sinus pressure = major brain freeze= not a happy camper

6. i went into our local clothing store with my $10 rewards card thinking of buying 1 cute top instead walk out with 6(?) tops and a pair of shorts.

7. its my dentist brother's office manager's fault. i saw her at the grocery store yesterday. me looking all wal-mart with my hair in a pony-tail, sweatshirt and tennies while she's got her hair curled, 3" heels, fancy coat + purse.

8. totally hating my hair right now. went to my old stylist for a cut awhile back and she majorly F*ed it up. i should also take all my hair products and ask someone what the hell do i do with all these.

9. did you know it was asian-american month? me either.

10. i'm ready for bed but waiting for my life as liz. i could use a good laugh.

random stuff

ham getting help- still looking for his 1 easter egg

1. friday i got some news that i can't quite share yet. i know. i suck. but it made me happy, sad, excited, nervous and just a big jumbo mess of emotions.

2. i've decided i'm not an animal as my own pet type person so if anyone wants a cat or two please take them!

3. i'm on a ball this morning. went for a walk, doing laundry- yeah for clean sheets + bedding!, cleaning the kitchen and i feel like getting rid of junk!

4. ooooo- i spent some money this weekend! [anthropologie and emersonmade!]

5. we've been able to work on the yard in-between all the rain. its amazing what fresh mulch can do!

6. went over and picked up some hosta's from a fellow nerd herd. her sweet kate [kaylee's bff] asked "what are pasta's?"

7. mike's parents came over on saturday for a late lunch/early dinner. grilled out steaks and i made homemade baked french fries + homemade mac-n-cheese. i forgot to get the coleslaw out.

8. bummed ham didn't go to his senior prom.

9. i think prince william + kate are the cutest couple in the world! [he's got the best smile]

10. and while there was some good news, it also makes me nervous.
