the writing assignment was to write about a person who has been important to your life and write about that person. include your feelings about that person. this is what he wrote:

uncommon

i know i'm repeating myself but ever since i got my new iphone i've been on a cover search. check out uncommon to pick from one of their designs or to make one yourself. thinking of making one with a pic of the two kids or a beach photo.

weekend catch up

1. friday we just hung around the house and did our own thing.

2. saturday at 8am we had our first soccer game. it was fun and the kids did great!

3. we ended up "winning" even though no scores were kept.

4. kaylee is definitely a princess. she would run with the ball but would not go after it nor would she go and try kicking it.

5. saturday was also my high school reunion but i didn't go. instead, i got to visit with my best friend from high school since she was visiting from arizona.

6. i made a bowl of fruit and a snickers apple salad to share. all the food was yummy!

7. then i got a bad stomachache. the kind that passes out stomachache smells. i tried to be discreet and went to the car so i could put on my glasses since my contacts were bothering me too. went home soon after.

8. sunday we went to the amish acres arts & crafts festival. i told mike its neat how inventive people can be even if its not our style.

9. we did end up with some goodies. kaylee scored a silver ring and a michigan wolverines cheerleader outfit for her doll. we also bought soap, the best tasting mustard [can't wait to make deviled eggs with it. its not too hot at all!] and a mix to add to wine to make it a delicious icy treat. [they had used a chardonnay and it tasted like a frozen pineapple slushy]

10. after grubbing on festival food we came back home and did some house work. mike outside, me inside. [i also got to take a nap]

taken this morning. i am a lover of fog. and rain.

1. read this, this morning. read the comments for some wonderful ideas. i am a believer in balancing entertaining kaylee and having her play independently or else i would go mad!

2. i also find that tv does help her with her imagination. i've seen her reenact some scenes from tv with her dolls/toys, speak some spanish and sing and dance.

3. i also read this and got a little teary eyed.

4. and i'm embarrassed that this 16 year old dresses better than me.

5. i like to think this and this is how i use to dress back in the day and wish i could be stylish again.

6. i'm finding being 10-15 pounds over my normal weight does not look good on me.

7. i would really love to get their new dress due out in fall. [it wouldn't let me link onto the exact dress but its the light one with the leather belt and tweed jacket. love. love. love it!}

8. LOVE these! i have the bags, just wish i had the equipment to print on them.

9. and i love her tumblr/blog. such pretty inspirations.

10. and i love their new room. totally stealing the sheet metal in picture frame idea. just now need to find sheet metal.
