bummed

my favorite miller's

[taken last year at our going away party]

1. that my favorite miller's will be living in scotland before we head back to indiana.

2. that the doctor really didn't have a diagnosis on my rash. at first she thought it could be shingles but i have no other symptoms of shingles so now its some sort of rash.

3. that my rash is spreading to my armpit and seeping. ewww -i know!

4. that the small rash spots on my face itches like crazy!

5. that i can't seem to lose any weight yet my diet this week consisted of peanut butter cookies with frosting and cans after cans of sweet tea. hmm...

6. that we no longer have any peanut cookies with frosting.

7. that i now have a second grader and a freshman colleger.

8. that my house is a mess, again. mostly by my 5lb dog who likes to chew on paper, crayons and pencils. 

9. that i haven't gotten even close to being done with my closet. [still need to take down shelves and paint]

10. that i am not living in hawaii.

dirty dogs, boys and a rash

1. that was taken back in april. he was chasing his gf around and the sprinklers came on. i would bet to say that was one of the best days of his life. till he had to take a bath.

2. i have a doctor's appointment today. i've had a rash by my armpit for the last week and now its spread a little on my face. i think its one of the poison's [oak, ivy, sumac].

3. i don't think the doctor can do anything about the poison's but at least i will know what it is.

4. last night i went outside to get kaylee so she could talk to mike since he's out of town. our neighbor boy said "she went ballistic!" i asked him why. [kaylee was fuming a little]

5. he said because a friend of his thinks she's hot. oh boy!

6. i meant to tell him to get use to girls going ballistic, its in our blood.

7. i also told kaylee to be nice, he was just a messenger and to get use to it. she's a pretty girl.

8. don't know what's going on with me but i've been wanting to get organized so i emptied my closet.  i also want to paint and rearrange the shelving so it makes more sense.

9. mike saw my pile of purses/bags and wanted to bet that i have more of them than he does of shorts. i haven't checked but i think he has way more shorts!

another weekend

1. ham got to go to ny for the weekend.

2. he got to stay at the soho grand hotel.

3. he also got to sleep on the floor which makes me happy. you know, just to bring him back to reality aka normal life.

4. we had our first guests [neighbors] come over for a cookout. made the famous jalapeno peppers, kabobs, orzo salad and "dump" cake for dessert.

5. mike had a meeting he wanted to sit in on for work yesterday so he dropped kaylee and i off at ikea. got a few things for the house.

6. its amazing what a simple new duvet can do to a room. 

7. i've been attempting to run 2 miles and today i finally ran the whole dang thing. finally!

8. ollie has awful gas right now. think he got too many dog treats yesterday.

9. hate it when i can't remember where i put something and i know i have it. [downside to moving]

10. watched soul surfer this weekend. great movie not only because its in hawaii but has a great message. [though when the shark comes up and takes her arm is a little scary- glad kaylee didn't see that part]

[friday] love- saturday edition

1. an uncle who will take his nephew under his wing for a month or so. [uncle from his dad side. a dad he has not seen or heard from in 13+ years]

2. same uncle giving ham the 411 on all the important things in life.

3. the independence ham is getting to experience. he had to get himself up and to the airport on time so he could go to new york city!

4. pf changs for dinner and the cheesecake factory for dessert.

5. mike entertaining the idea of moving into a smaller home for me [but never with the intentions of moving.]

6. a pool. man its hot here.  

7. pinterest. finding awesome recipes and ideas.

8. school is almost over. 3 more school days!

9. ham kinda giving me a compliment saying that i think i'm old and senile.

10. anthropologie and finding some cute tops but didn't buy any because i looked like a whale in them.

random thursday

to ham from kaylee

1. i found a few of these notes to ham while i was going through his room. [he gave me permission. do i need permission?]

2. i think he's kept all the pictures and cards kaylee's made him.

3. i'm still missing the booger. i got to talk to him today. man he sounds just like his dad and uncle.

4. i've stayed home yesterday and today. my car needs gas and i don't want to fill it up. so lazy!

5. kaylee wants to take archery classes. yeah, good luck on finding one!

6. she also wants to do a new hula hoop trick since her bf's dad gave it try. [hilarious video on facebook!]

7. i have some sort of itchy rash on the backside of my arm pit. looks like poison ivy to me.

8. laying in bed last night i wished moving was easy. we bought too big of a house

9. with ham gone, the upstairs is hardly used.

10. no plans for the holiday weekend. we still have no friends.

4. while admiring our backyard sunday evening i thought it would be cool to watch a movie while floating in the pool.

5. then monday i read these two blogs who are giving away a 3M movie projectors. [i hope i win one!]

6. i went and bought flowers yesterday. in the hot, hot sun.

7. then i went to target to get 50 shades of grey and some kaboom to knock out the bathtubs.

8. when i noticed an offensive smell. it was me. [hot sun + sweat + no deodorant = smelly me]

9. i thought the cap on my deodorant was stuck on it. i tried to get it off again this morning only to find out the cap isn't even on it!

10. i can't wait for ham to start school because that means all this bs of calling his school, paperwork and financial aid is over!

looking for her talent

1. i guess kaylee's been searching for her talent and she found it! [she's eating a banana and scratching her back while hula hooping]

2. she can hop and hula hoop at the same time too.

3. we worked on the backyard for most of the weekend.

4. mike does the labor, i do the visualizing and the shopping.

5. while waiting for a table at our favorite mexican restaurant, we sat outside and couldn't believe how lucky we are.

6. the sun was setting, the weather was warm, palm trees were above us and we had a drink in hand. life is good.

7. i'm guessing ham is doing great, keeping busy. [uncle burk doesn't sit home much]

8. wish he missed us a little. maybe by the time we go to indiana...

9. kaylee had a friend come over to swim yesterday. we made root beer floats- yum!

10.  need to go and buy some flowers and a new book.  i've decided to take advantage of my time and float in the pool with a good book.
