it was all meant to be

necklace hawaii

1. i almost bought myself a kate spade purse while in hawaii but in the end couldn't spend that kind of money on a purse.

2. plus i wanted something that would remind me of hawaii.

3. then i saw and fell in love with both of these charms. its one of a kind. even the sales ladies said they never thought of putting them together. [the big one says aloha]

4. i've been wanting to take a photography class and finally found one thats perfect! [i've been seriously thinking about buying her book since its gotten such great reviews]

5. it was meant to be because i will either be living in that town or really close by. and i will be there in the fall.

6. i have the bestest friends. the other night when i couldn't sleep, i thought about all of us going out to a fancy dinner for our last meal together. the next day they tell me they want to throw a going away get together.

7. though it makes me nervous being "center of attention".

8. example: last night, us nerd herds went to dinner and when i was talking i started to sweat because all eyes were on me. poor megan who sat beside me!! [and just fyi: i did not fart, it was the seat. i promise!]

9. thursday a realtors coming out to put our house on the market. [we're going to do that till we see the guarantee offer from mike's work]

10. i'm starting to feel the pressure of us moving now.

my not so boring, bubble blowing weekend

bubble

1. friday after the realtor and mike left, i took a nap.

2. then i continued the day being super lazy and did nothing. then took another nap.

3. once mike came home i was really, super bored. around 6:30 we decided to be bored at a locally owned italian restaurant hoping this wasn't how the rest of the weekend was going to be.

4. went to bed around 11ish- whenever ham decided to come home. it was an early night.

5. saturday morning mike wanted to do some yard work then decided to do a last minute cookover.

6. so i bought frozen burgers from bdubs and few other groceries. we had burgers, brats, asian coleslaw, crock pot mac-n-cheese and blueberry/pineapple cobbler. s'mores too!

7. it turned out to be a better cookout than we had thought. [we thought no one would show up] though everyone did leave by 9pm.

8. today we took off for the toledo zoo. last time we were there it was still a little cold so we didn't get to see everything.

9. we ate an early dinner at pf changs before heading home.

10. mike went 30+ miles with the gas light on before hitting a gas station. i bought hubba bubba bubble gum so for the last 45 minutes of the car ride we had a blowing bubble contest. of course i was victorious! [it was almost the size of my head + i impressed mike with some skillz and did a bubble within a bubble w/another bubble on the outside. yeah. i got talent]

getting back to normal. whatever that is!

hanauma bay

hanauma bay

1. i was a real wus and didn't go into the water at hanauma bay.

2. i did get a few photos of some eye candy. [for me]

3. i also made it to the top of diamond head a few hours earlier. it was brutal but fun at the same time.

4. i slept in till 9am but was up till around 1 posting pics on facebook.

5. i'm finally getting back to normal. went to work for the past two days. easy stuff- meetings.

6. tomorrow we have another realtor coming over and hopefully soon after that we will be told what our house is worth and what we can start doing.

7. we're planning on taking two weeks in the middle of july to go house hunting. i found two that i really, really, really want. really!

8. last night a gf called me and asked to meet up for some drinks. i went out of my comfort zone and did it! it was awesome and i felt human again.

9. weird seeing the "world" after 8pm.

10. i had ordered something from the vintage pearl around may 25 and its still not here yet. i guess what makes me the maddest is that shipping cost just as much as my product and i know it doesn't weigh more than a few ounces.

i'm back but just being lazy

viewfront

after doing this for 11 days for at least 10 hours a day, its hard getting back to "normal" life. i want to sleep when i should be awake. i'm awake when i should be sleeping. i want to get on my swim suit, people watch and drink mai tai's rather than laundry, cleaning, cooking or blogging. with this view, can you blame me?

ham's open house

<span class=

1. this photo cracks me up. that's ham + his uncle burk from his dad side. i told them they eat/chew alike. it must be a family trait.

2. open house was AWESOME! even though i didn't get to talk to my nerd herds as much as i would of liked.

3. that's always the down side to having large parties- always moving.

4. we got a bounce house and a chocolate fountain. both were big hits.

5. we also got 2- 96 piece fried chicken, 2- large veggie trays, 10 dozen dinner rolls, 2-6 ft. sub sandwiches, 20 lbs of cole slaw, 20 lbs of potato salad and 2 full size sheet cakes.

6. plus 300 wings from buffalo wild wings since ham told us that's the only reason his friends were coming over. [plus food for the chocolate fountain]

7. we gave a lot of food away since we wont be home to eat it. i did freeze lots of chicken and dinner rolls.

8. i gave whatever cole slaw, potato salad, bdub wings and some cake to our neighbors behind us since they take in foster kids. they said between all of them, what would last us a whole week would last them 2 days.

9. did i tell you i have some awesome friends?

10. even though i hope to make new ones, i will still miss my nerd herds.

kaylee graduated too!

1. kaylee had her "graduation/awards" ceremony tuesday afternoon.

2. she ended up with the highest award possible for an elementary student. i think its called the citizenship award.[mike took it to work before i got a chance to read it]

3. she also got very high marks on her report card. she even completed first grade reading level.

4. she still needs to work on her social skills and self-confidence but that will come with time. [heaven help us- look who her dad is!]

5. i spent the day running around again getting last minute prep stuff and a swim soup.

6. tomorrow will be the last of the errands, then party prep time.

7. but i think i have everything ready to go. as soon as the last wave of people show up, its comfy clothes time for cleaning and packing.

8. not sure what time we will leave for chicago on sunday.

9. i went and saw one of nerd herds the other day. she gifted me with our pass back and forth can of spotted dick and a new york coffee mug which i love! [she's from jersey]

10. i hate to say it but mike came up with a creative way for me to display ham's photo's. i will take pics after i set everything up. fingers crossed it doesn't rain tomorrow.

ham graduates!

1. see that "hi mom" on the hat? that is NOT ham.

2. ham is officially graduated. *phew* now to get him to graduate from college.

3. today i got to relax a bit but still went open house shopping. who knew that plates, napkins, table cloths and a few graduation decor could cost over $100?

4. and i really hate graduation decorations! so ugly!

5. of course i ran out of time, has nothing to do with me procrastinating, did not make any cool decorations.

6. though i did go through all my photos and will be making a photo wall of ham with friends and family.

7. ham is 18. is that old enough for me to stop waiting up for him? [i have 2 hours + some odd minutes left]

8. he hasn't been staying out very late lately, much to my relief.

9. he did try to say that he's 18 and old enough to come home whenever. i told him he's old enough to go to work too. he said 3AM will be late enough

10. i'm very proud of him! and of myself. i did not cry like a baby during his ceremony. i did get misty eyed.
