update

wanted to buy one of local artist heather brown's painting while in hawaii but wasn't sure how i was going to get it home.

1. i've been going crazy this week waiting to hear anything about fun house.

2. till we got the news that they do indeed have a signed contract.

3. in the meantime, mike and i finally decided that we would all move as a family when he started his new position august 1.

4. then his boss tells him he won't be starting then. he has to stay till the selling of the goshen office and that could be september/october.

5. around lunchtime today mike said that we should put in an offer on house #3.

6. my gut was telling me not too. after looking up the mls #, it says it has an offer already on it. must of happened yesterday.

7. so then i started to panic. all the houses that we liked are selling fast.

8. after catching my breath on all of this, i decided that i want to wait things out for the fun house. there is that glimmer of hope that we can still get it. [they're waiting on financing]

9. we will just go with the flow as each situation comes up.

10. as one of my favorite quotes says "everything will be okay in the end. if its not okay, then its not the end"

i am NOT going to stress out

1. we spent a week house hunting in the texas heat. we looked at maybe 50+ houses.

2. we decided on two maybe three. the one above is our favorite. in houston, you can put down $100 to get ten days to decide whether or not you want it. during this time, you also need to get the inspections done.

3. the day we went to see the house we found out that someone had done just that.

4. and of course we ended up loving the house.

5. two days later we went back to see the house again. the owner said she felt like she had to meet us even though we were not the people she thought we were.

6. turns out her and her husband went to notre dame. so did the previous owners. we all took it as a sign that it was meant to be.

7. we put in an offer that night in hopes that the first offer falls through.

8. we are still waiting for that offer to fall through. the sellers realtor went out of town to make things even worse.

9. thursday i had to break down and cry. friday, i did not want to go and look at any more houses till i heard that the seller of our favorite house sabotaged her house for us. [the people with the first offer did another walk through that morning]

10. we also put in an offer to our second choice only to have had it countered. then tonight i found out that they decided they didn't want to sell their house after all.

keeping the tooth fairy busy

1. when we were in hawaii, the hawaiian tooth fairy showed up because she lost the other bottom tooth.

2. on our way to the white sox game saturday she lost one of her top teeth.

3. wednesday evening while eating breadsticks, she lost her other top tooth.

4. now she talks funny. but looks oh so cute!

5. we got an offer on the house! our first showing and an offer!

6. of course it couldn't be simple. they wanted to know if we would sell the house without the other lot.

7. since we're no longer going to be in the state, thought it would be best and easiest to sell both together. they can sell it if they want.

8. fingers crossed they call back with an offer.

9. seriously getting nervous that we won't find a house when we head to houston.

10. nothing seems to compare to the ones we love but are pending sales.

things you do when you're bored

1. ham would kill me if he knew i was posting this. [found it on the ipad today. he did this on sunday]*he found it somehow but thinks i deleted it- bwahahahaha!

2. wednesday kaylee went to work for me. she thought it was the coolest thing. she even got to see me do my thing when we went to drop off menus at the local hotels.

3. friday we got mike to take us to shipshewana for some pretzels and merry go rounding.

3. saturday we went to see the white sox beat the cubs [1-0] hey! a win is a win no matter how big or small.

4. on the way there kaylee was munching on some chips and her loose tooth came out. [the other one is hanging by the corner]

5. kaylee had a great time thanks to ME! i would rub her ears, belly, wave her arms or do something goofy and tell her it was for a hit or a catch or an out.

6. sunday we had friends come over for a last minute fire pitting. we saw a few cars drive by...

7. oh. we have a for sale sign in the front yard and tonight we got a call that we have a showing tomorrow evening. fingers crossed!

8. we're leaving soon to go house hunting in houston. the house i really wanted to see is pending. i'm so sad i didn't get to see it in person.

9. i got to spend 14 hours in laporte yesterday then got to come home to hear mike puke. i love 4th of july just for that reason.

10. i desperately need to go to the grocery store. my poor neglected family

it was all meant to be

1. i almost bought myself a kate spade purse while in hawaii but in the end couldn't spend that kind of money on a purse.

2. plus i wanted something that would remind me of hawaii.

3. then i saw and fell in love with both of these charms. its one of a kind. even the sales ladies said they never thought of putting them together. [the big one says aloha]

4. i've been wanting to take a photography class and finally found one thats perfect! [i've been seriously thinking about buying her book since its gotten such great reviews]

5. it was meant to be because i will either be living in that town or really close by. and i will be there in the fall.

6. i have the bestest friends. the other night when i couldn't sleep, i thought about all of us going out to a fancy dinner for our last meal together. the next day they tell me they want to throw a going away get together.

7. though it makes me nervous being "center of attention".

8. example: last night, us nerd herds went to dinner and when i was talking i started to sweat because all eyes were on me. poor megan who sat beside me!! [and just fyi: i did not fart, it was the seat. i promise!]

9. thursday a realtors coming out to put our house on the market. [we're going to do that till we see the guarantee offer from mike's work]

10. i'm starting to feel the pressure of us moving now.

my not so boring, bubble blowing weekend

1. friday after the realtor and mike left, i took a nap.

2. then i continued the day being super lazy and did nothing. then took another nap.

3. once mike came home i was really, super bored. around 6:30 we decided to be bored at a locally owned italian restaurant hoping this wasn't how the rest of the weekend was going to be.

4. went to bed around 11ish- whenever ham decided to come home. it was an early night.

5. saturday morning mike wanted to do some yard work then decided to do a last minute cookover.

6. so i bought frozen burgers from bdubs and few other groceries. we had burgers, brats, asian coleslaw, crock pot mac-n-cheese and blueberry/pineapple cobbler. s'mores too!

7. it turned out to be a better cookout than we had thought. [we thought no one would show up] though everyone did leave by 9pm.

8. today we took off for the toledo zoo. last time we were there it was still a little cold so we didn't get to see everything.

9. we ate an early dinner at pf changs before heading home.

10. mike went 30+ miles with the gas light on before hitting a gas station. i bought hubba bubba bubble gum so for the last 45 minutes of the car ride we had a blowing bubble contest. of course i was victorious! [it was almost the size of my head + i impressed mike with some skillz and did a bubble within a bubble w/another bubble on the outside. yeah. i got talent]

getting back to normal. whatever that is!

hanauma bay

1. i was a real wus and didn't go into the water at hanauma bay.

2. i did get a few photos of some eye candy. [for me]

3. i also made it to the top of diamond head a few hours earlier. it was brutal but fun at the same time.

4. i slept in till 9am but was up till around 1 posting pics on facebook.

5. i'm finally getting back to normal. went to work for the past two days. easy stuff- meetings.

6. tomorrow we have another realtor coming over and hopefully soon after that we will be told what our house is worth and what we can start doing.

7. we're planning on taking two weeks in the middle of july to go house hunting. i found two that i really, really, really want. really!

8. last night a gf called me and asked to meet up for some drinks. i went out of my comfort zone and did it! it was awesome and i felt human again.

9. weird seeing the "world" after 8pm.

10. i had ordered something from the vintage pearl around may 25 and its still not here yet. i guess what makes me the maddest is that shipping cost just as much as my product and i know it doesn't weigh more than a few ounces.
